Use the Nokia Software Update tool to upgrade. The steps are simple and easy. Please make sure that the phone battery is charged fully before you upgrade. The new version available is version 11.008

hii all nokia5800 users..i have a very very very annoying problem wiz my nokia5800 XM...it freezes many times !! and i have to remove the battery and mount it again to make the phone work !...can any one help me wiz that ???...also i tried to update my firmware but nokia updater tells me that there is no update available for my phone although my firmware version is 10.0.0.0...i will be very grateful for any one help me to fix that.

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2009why can't i send text messages on this phone? does it have ... moreCheck the service centre number, I've noticed that a few of the latest Symbian phones read the wrong number off the SIM.
You can get the right number from your network provider or compare with a friend on the same network.
It should start with a '+'.

Ammm dont get this folks... i mean its great and all .. but its just an experiment... you know a Nokia touchscreen experiment... i mean its slow... the interface isn't all that simple... and well i have this problem... some times the screen goes black for 10 seconds.. =S

can anybody will tell me is there is hanging problem in nokia 5800........and i hear that touch screen is also had to use...pls suggest me whether i will go 4 it or not.......

why can't i send text messages on this phone? does it have to do with my service provider or is it the phone itself?

lets say i used up on movies and songs for 7.5 GB of the given 8 gb, will the phone lagg while playing movie or does the ram can handle it? pls reply asap thank you !

i am think of buying a new phone now i am using n70.i have 4 options n78 82 79 and 5800 please help me to choose one.i personally want 5800 but i heard that there are few bugs in the phone.how is the camera if it gives pics of 2 mp quality then its ok.the things i need the most is big screen good storage capacity.good sound quality please guide me to a good phone its a request.

ive used the i phone and used 5800 but in my opinion 5800 is much better than i phone in terms of the look nd features also id like to know how can i put the camera in night mode plz reply me

i have 5800xm phone it gr8.i just wanna ask that the wifi in it is ip based or infra raid based coz my college has wifi nd professor told me that ull get an ip address on ur cell then u will b able to access wifi so if 5800 has ip based wifi then where to enter ip for wifi....
pls anybody knows then help me coz wifi in colege ws one reason 4 me to purchase nokia 5800xm....

I'm getting this phone as an upgrade next week - I know it has many features and I'm sure it will take me a while to get used to my first touch screen phone too(!) but please could someone answer a simple question for me? In the message settings, does it have the option for Delivery Reports? Hope to hear from someone, and thanks very much for reading!
