Dear folks,can anyone tell me about third party applications.does nokia 5800 supports it.what about VOIP softwares and Smartmovies.kindly reply as i m going to for above reasons.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970well the N97 will be a proper smartphone, so hold on. The 5800 is a cheap multimedia phone. Made with cheap plastics. Plus the screen is too small with no stylus, you have a plectrum if your lucky!!! wot a load of crap. Txt input is difficult, why not wait for that plush qwerty keyboard.
This is a gimmiky phone which is trying to ride off the back of the success of the iphone, by making a phone which is affordable.
But this does not bring it into the class of the iphone and definatley not the N series.
I'm not being iphone bias, i'm a hd user, and don't neccessarily like the iphone. Yet this phone is a fraud. But will benefit alot of people

Yes it play's WMV you can get software to play almost anything.
Sound is pretty good but not as good as my iPhone.
Camera is one of the best.

There is menu software in development for this device, so it's not the fault of the device, but developers are a bit slow!
This device is not slow that someone s scumming here with that hate propaganda lies!
This is not PC or pocketPC to race for speed, even slowest nokia 6600 106Mhz can run DivX videos very smooth, so this nokia 5800xm is superior to any pocket device for multimedia presentation.
