Hi guys,
r u guys having the same problem with me, cause it's a bit confusing me, it says on the spec that this phone has 408something standby time, but while i'm using it so far, it never reached that point. I have to charge the phone every 2days for a normal use, and in the manual book, it also written that this phone only has 294standby time, I'm a bit disappointed when I found out about that..
any suggestion about what should I do??

I have tried to change the date and now i get another message saying "certificate may not be valid yet". can you help with this one please?

Hello...
For those who have the volume going up and down during the call, BACK UP ur phone data, then press *#7370#, it will ask u to enter the security code (12345 by default), the phone will be formatted and then it will restart, the problem is solved. (This solution is posted in the Nokia 5800 discussion website, it's tried and it worked)
The issue which gets u back to home screen after trying to add a Birthday detail is a known issue, it should be solved with the next firmware update which is expected soon.
The music loudness through the loudspeakers is excellent, but not as loud as the n81 through headphones. i tried every possible setting in the equalizer, bass booster and stereo widening, but couldn't reach the loudness of the n81 which -in my opinion- is the loudest phone playing music through headphones (i compared the n81 with n95, n95 8gb, n78, n79, n82, n85 and n96, the n81 has the loudest sound through headphones with excellent clarity). So we hope that Nokia will take this into consideration in the next firmware update, as the mobile called Nokia 5800 XPRESS MUSIC! So hopefully this term meets the loudness through the headphones connected.
And as an overall, the phone is AMAZING, just go for it, it's way better than the iPhone 3G (Apple is not a leading company in manufacturing mobile phones, Nokia absolutely IS)... And one more thing here, go to youtube and type in the search "nokia morph concept", just see what Nokia is up to in the next few years, u just won't believe it.
I bought the mobile a few days ago (got it for $360), no great issues till now, and as a new mobile, the upcoming firmware versions will absolutely solve many glitches and enhance the performance of the device, Nokia is just collecting the maximum number of users reviews and problems to apply the solutions in the upcoming firmwares.

This is only my opinion but i have found and friends have reported that with the PDA phones running on windows mobile that it hangs allot of the time. I have been using Nokia for many years, they are stable, can be updated over the net very easily. the 5800 is the first touch screen i have used but it extremely user friendly.

i see 5800 is very good as its included memory is 8 GB , but my friends told me that it has a poor design and it can't stand hard work also it's camera is not good as that of N78 , so now i am confused what to buy 5800 X.M or N78 so kindly can any one told me which is better ? pleaassssssse
also which of them has better sound 5800 XM or N78 ????????????

It's very fancy with extendable features and the stylus makes things look cleanier while there is no grease from your fingers all over the screen!

Yes i bought the Nokia 5800 now...yes the price is crazy compare to the next few months BUT i'm HAPPY. everything is good. it's pretty , it's functional and the battery lasts! what more can you ask for in a phone these days? yes it is not as slim as the iphone but you know what it is OKAY and it gives a good grip. To be honest i was worried when i saw the phone on youtube that it will be thick. but it's not bad... seriously. GO FOR IT for those who are still thinking. You only live once! and i know there are plenty of you there thinking and thinking about it all day whether to get it now or wait 2-3 months ... i love it!

You will not be disappointed with the Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic Mobile/Cell. If your in the market for a touch screen mobile, that offers everything a mobile phone SHOULD do plus a lot of extras and is simple to use and navigate around, then I would highly recommand the Nokia 5800 touch Xpressmusic Mobile/Cell.
You will be reading a lot of reports on here of people saying if your model was built in this country etc, there all poor quality. I find this not to be true as my model was built in Dubai and they said models in Dubai are all crap, I have had my Nokia 5800 now for two weeks, I play on it all day long, from surfing the web, to sending multiple txt/sms/mms, video calling, voice calls, listening to my music ans I can tell you from a hands on experience that it hasn't missed a heart beat. It has not once turned itself off, paused and did anything silly, nor has it slowed down. I must say it might be that I have a great build but who knows, it has impressed me alot.
Go with your heart, read peoples opinions cause theres some good points out there, believe what you want and ignore what you believe is brand bashing, and then this will give you a clear head to make your decision.

try hitting the back of your phone then sound gets back... the only way it would work... :(

Hopefully Santa puts a Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic Mobile under your Xmas tree, because I don't think you could go wrong.
Did I mention that I REALLY love my Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic Mobile phone. No regrets what so ever. Every Nokia model that I have ever bought I have never had a single issue with. I think you have to stick to a trusted brand, even through there up's and downs, they always sort there issues out.
