Omnia has windows mobile, the most mediocre and old school UI in the mobile world
Symbian is like the king of UI and winmo is just a pawn.
5800 can defeat omnia with no sweat and in all aspect because all the feature of omnia is nothing with winmo on board, sad but true
and omnia is twice expensive than 5800, dish out 2 d sink

it's... moreomnia has windows mobile, the most mediocre and old school ui in the mobile world haha, it wont even come close to 5800 in ui alone.
symbian is the god of ui and winmo is just a pawn.. poor guy tsk.2, he doesnt know smartphones at all

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2008jamal, i dont think this phone can beat omnia...And thats when the 50% comes in. Nokia 5800 Grenade takes some, Omnia takes some. Omnia Beats It in still camera but 5800 beats it in video. (50-50). 624MHz Marvell PXA312 processor is not all that far from ARM 11 369 MHz CPU. But do I have to compare Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 to the great Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5? & memory is no problem, just buy a 16gb microSD if u have to. Plus 5800 has a nicer music player, & a better quality screen with the feedback thingy. 5800 is aimed at the young while the omnia is for gray headed business men, wth a Long beared.
Not 100% defeat but 50%-50%. I thought of purchasing the omnia but its way too boring for a cool guy like me. The 5800 i believe is more fun to use and u cant get bored easily until your battery dies. 406h - 500h. See!!!!! Not 100% defeat but 50%-50%. (I hope u dont have a long beared!!!)

it's slower than omnia, camera is not that good
Video is useless it's vga, teribil
Only music sounds ok
For that price only a fool will by it

Yeah its really good to have Nokia launchin a phone to compete with the i PHone. What realy gona matters will be the price and the launching date. Anyways i have already made sure to buy one 5800 asap.

... moreyeah but you cant realy put everythng on it and price it with 270euro, the hardware parts were the one compramise having the best softwares that can be compared to nseries..
the slow issue have already been addres by the review sites, they proudly wrote that this has a fast ui being the earliest people with hands on experience on the device

for everybodys info after this phone is lounched N-Series touch UI will follow as well. so this is only the begining... Expect New designs/new features from different nokia series...

makes the camera very easy to get damaged, but then i guess your not likely to take it off very often.

but for me 5800 is bold and stylish, it was designed to fit the hand for a comfortable grip and best of all lightweight.. the guitar plectrum was very innovative, adds to the total package of the ultimate music phone

Phone and its specifications are amaging. The only set back in Nokia is they does not provide suitable leather case like other brands.
