Could anyone clarify whether it syncs using Active Syn with MS outlook? or one needs nokia tool?

I don't get it why the first touch screen phone of nokia turned out to be just a mid-ranged phone. its an E series with a touch screen?

This is one of the ugliest phone i have ever seen. Look at the picture....it just looks like a piece of brick and looks cheap. No matter what features it holds....it's ugly design & cheap buit quality will never persuade me to buy.

It is really cute nokia 5800 very good multimedia including designing, feature, performance but why nokia didn't put window in to nokia 5800 xpress music because of some people needs this software for office work for additional purpose.

Applications form WM is 100 times more like for symbian 3rd . ON WM run almost every app designet for WM doestn matter which version 2002,2003, 05 or 06 , ON symbian work only apps designed for 3rd series nothing else !!! ON WM you have plenty freeware on symbian olmost nothing !!! Signal reception on nokias especialy 3G is really crap if you compare with HTC devices !!!

Nokia`s s60 is much more stable than WM platform! and its easier to handle, consume
less battry power! and has much more applications available allready!!
Nokia is better regarding hardwear, disply,
reception and signal quality, sound purity...etc
if u compare any nokia display" 16 mil.
color" with a windows mobile phone"65 k."
you will know what i mean! windows phones
has poor display, worse cameras,cheap built
and much more expensive than nokias!
I think this new 5800 with the addition of the touch 16 mil. 3.2" WVGA on an allready successfull series 60 3rd"+ release 5" is
realy a hit! not mentioning the A-GPS and
TV out and all the top noch connectivity
toped with a 3.2 mp carl zeiss cam and vga
recording!! should i say more??
so unless someone puts a gun on my head, i
won`t buy an iphone or WM phone with double
the price compared to nokia 5800xm with much less features!!! :)

hi... does tis handphone good? isn the touch screen sensitive?? coz tis is the 1st time nokia come out touch screen..so isn wil sensitve with the screen o any disadvantage function on it?? thanks

ha ha ha , your knowlege about OS is very poor , Batery life have nothing todo vith os , ARM procesor in Nokia is need much less power like Intel. But if you got 370 mhz ARM and 370MHZ intel , INtel on same frequency is much more powerful , Have you seen tomtom6 on symbian with 369mz procesor and tomtom6 on WM and 200mhz procesor , ON wm is much smoother and is moving all the time . on SYMBIAN always freez for 1-2 second when teling the direction by the voice . Symbian Is very good OS smartphones but not for Pocket PC or devices with Touch screen . Why doesnt exists 3D Naviation iGO8 for symbian ??? Because Symbian is not powerful to handle it. Igo8 no problem for WM devices.

I get that you may like WM, but symbian definitely isnt inferior. For your info, symbian does not need a large processor like WM. Even with intel 520, many WM phones still had issues (being slow/multitasking problems). The 369mhz has proved to be make a symbian smartphone the fastest. Its even faster than phones that dont have any OS.
Another advantage of symbian over WM is that it does not drain the battery as fast. Some WM mobiles are equipped with high capacity batteries and only last for a day. A symbian phone will use the same battery and go for 5-7 days. Why do you think the latest and greatest multimedia devices have always been symbian?
Face it, the only place that HTC and this phone may compete is the touchscreen, but at the end of the day 5800 beats it at everything else.

I think you are an HTC salesman. Post your comments in the HTC section. You'll see how 5800 will trash your favorite HTC diamond upon its release.

2 Palm OS
3 Linux
4 Paper and pencil
5 symbian :)))
MY first phone with os was symbian phone , and I thin is the best OS but after I try WM I can only say what the difrence ...

Furthermore until recently, HTC has never produced a multimedia handset with good quality sound or camera. Dont insult symbian. You've probably never even used it before. Geez. Get your facts straight. If you dont like the 5800, then dont get it. Just stop talking trash.
But IMHO, 5800xm is a much better multimedia powerhouse than htc diamond or htc touch pro.

Come on ,just released and already hardwere is old :)) This specs. had HTC 2 years ago. No apps for this phone . Anyway symbian is crap. This is phone is for somebody who before never used touch screen phone , its goog only for beginners , For profesionals is just piece of sh... Come on get a proper phone like HTC diamond or HTC touch pro. Anyway N 5800 good only for your kids . :))

this is a new opening from Nokia having touch screen facility instead of buttons using finger tips or using a pen stick..But the price range is nearly to 500 USD. and what about the SAR rating....?

what if the stylus gets wasted n the touchscreen is damaged??how will u operate the phone at such instant...?? how fast would the nokia service centre would b if such an incident occurred???..
