sencen, 12 Oct 2008they already did a touchscreen phone before... hello. 7710Dude, 7710 is an internet tablet. Nokia themselves have stated that this is their first touchscreen phone, so better argue with them and not the people.
Btw, 5800 is a good phone for those carving for iphone, however, its still not a complete phone.

im thinkin how much it will cost in the market anyone have some idea about the price? hopefully its not too expensive like Nseries. Its kind of funny duh, because im going to buy a N78 a day after tommorow then i see this new 5800 express music. and the features that i want in a mobile is all in 5800 soo im just waiting for the release in the market. i'll be thankful if someone give me idea how much it will cost. Thank you!

It amazes me how people comment on items they have not even seen works! If you don't like Nokia, just say so. I raed the features of this superb phone from Nokia and had no doubt it will beat iphone hands down! Apology to iphone users ... But I also uses the iphone and I am fed up with some features that it lack! I am still wondering why some of the basic features are left out! and I 've been looking for a phone that will come out and make them realise their mistakes. I am happy that this Nokia 5800 will come close to doing that. The nice thing is that Nokia says they are not yet after the iphone! they said iphone competitor will come in their N-series category! I cant wait to see that happenning. And thanks to you guys for pointing out what Nokia might have left behind in this their new phone... that would probably make them do a better job when they eventually target the iphone. I can't wait to get my hands on what I will call 'the altimate iphone killer' from Nokia. whenever it finally comes, I will throw my iphone into the gabbage bin. I'll wait. I believe in Nokia. I know they will do it. I WILL WAIT. I WILL WAIT. I WILL WAIT

for the people that are saying the htc touch pro pad, omnia, even the iphone are better than the nokia 5800 touchscreen, heck nooo! The nokia 5800 express music camera's powerful dual flash beats them already!

Its an XpressMusic at the end of the day!
it has a certain 'Kids' Element to it, as the XpressMusic are targeted at Kids.
so there you go if your a 30+ Year Old Man you would clearly go for HTC Touch HD or Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 or Samsung Omnia
This 5800 is targeted at the 'Youth', i am a Youth and i would still go for a HTC Touch HD!!!!!!!!! it rules!

u missed a few many points altogether
first of all there is no multitouch option or feature as u said in nokia 5800
and there is no comparision between iphone and 5800 on the basis of this
and for the brightness u better check again.
the camera is one of the best in class 3.2 meg snapper with dual led flash(i thought you said it's flash wasn't enough)
as for the wi-fi it must be the problem of ur router or network because the same wi-fi module works good in other nokia phones very well.
the audio on 5800 is a treat along with its loud speaker and complements it well.
as for the price u should check around because i tink someone made a fool of u because in $580 one could get 2 pieces of 5800 instead of one.
and its operating system s60 is compatible with previous editions.means u can use old apps right away.

remenber..Nokia never announced this product with multitouch. But if you´re so desperate to specifically point the differences...well then, comparing to other manufacters, try to browse on the web while listening to music...or use msn messenger, while playing games with others at the same time... But then again, I think that, what counts is the experience you have with mobile devices, wether if it´s for fun or work, and that Nokia always garantees.

bla, bla, bla....angel stop saying what u don´t know...specially when it comes to prices over Nokia products. The best thing u can do now is to wait and see...or experience. Then give your opinion.

I like the phone but too big.
And video quite terrible, compared to N85 for example.

But if u r really willing to use a touch phone of nokia then u can use nokia N810.if u wanna see the specifications of N810 then go to the official website of nokia.com of Australia or UK
