AnonD-5400, 04 Apr 2011I dont think its a virus based problem, i flash and format ... moreyeah N8 is the next choice...as for me i dont have major prob with this 5800 (very very seldom restart or hang)
the n8 have lots of upgraded features...hopefully the next n8 of yours and mind wont have the purple tint prob at least. hope nokia have fixed the prob by then..

i am using nokia 5800 xm for 1 year
its an awesome phone
it has high audio sound and quality
and touch is also good
wifi is there
net accesss is also good in it
and i'm facing problem that is i can not off flash or capture sound when i dont wantthose while i'm capturing photos

hey 5800 forum !! when i turned off my phone when i flash my phone,,it says there at forum.dailymobile,turn off my phone and do the flashing.when i turned off my phone,does it automatically starts flashing or you need to do some steps when you flashed it? anyone?please help me.i want to flash my phone :)

hi 5800 users ^_^ im having trouble with my battery charge ..hmm.. it seems that my phone's battery indicator sometimes is wrong and my battery sometimes wont last a day..my battery is new..any suggestions??? i would really appreciate it..amay be the firmware bugs?? i dont know ^_^

Its a fcuking software problem.

As you guys know, this is the first Nokia S60 touchphone.
It still delivers in 2011. Great for videos, internet, photos, tv out, free and reliable GPS, awesome loudspeakers, ergonomic size.
It will become a collectors item in the coming years.

i have been using Nokia 5800 for almost 2 years & im stil not bord of it..it hangs @times whn u use any application alot...web wrks prfctly i dint hv any software problm with ths cell...evryone told me not to buy this fone..but belv me it more thn worth ..i wanna chnge my 5800 but i still love it...screen is vry good...vdo recording in mp4 is vry good...mostly u get 2 colors i bot it in blk & gry ...i hv oly seen 2 more gry not more thn tht...its a vry frndly user fone...its the best nokia fone...

My Nokia 5800 sometimes formats all text messages by itself leaving a text file named "Store Deleted" in 1000484B folder...!!!
At times it formats a whole memory card, At times music library gets corrupted, at times broken photo thumbnails in gallery, These all ultimately leads to soft reset the phone...!!!
These are the fcuking problem i've been facing since 21 months...!!!

It's a great phone, i can play youtube with Xenozu application using wifi, plus 8gb micro SD on it, huh!!! Nice one NOKIA.

battery gives only short time only in standby mode then usage mode gives one day
