3000 votes already in less than a week? The last phone that got so many votes this quickly was the n95. I bet before the day is over 5800xm shall pass n85. The demand is incredibly high.
Anyway, its seems like its a really good phone. Ive seen the videos on youtube. Everything seems okay, no real drawbacks ar yet. Speed seems ok like n95 8gb, but not as fast as 6120c or 5700xm. Perfect way to upgrade from my 5700. Thanx nokia.

According to Nokia India and Economic Times, Nokia 5800 will be available in India from 3rd week of November 2008 at a price below 20000rs [according to my calculation it comes out to be 18500rs including VAT]

Hi every1, I am using Nokia 5700 since last yr & blive me its the best phone ever considering the price, music (both in headset & speaker), os & reliability. It lacks only in office documents editing & camera. I hope 5800 will cover it up.

Both apple and nokia are new to a lot of things. Nokia is just starting to generate touch screen phones; you can't expect them to be that great yet. This is also Apple's first time to enter the mobile market (spearheaded by the original iphone. But it's not necessary to compare the two models since they are after pretty much different consumers.. but whatever makes a person happy (or more judgemental haha)

Sel, 07 Oct 2008Why it doesnt have intrnal memory say 8GB? or 16GB like iPhone??Because exchangeable memory is a big advantage to the fixed memory in the iPhone. You basically have unlimited memory with the Nokia Tube (you can swap cards, if you like). With an iPhone you're stuck with the memory that's in it.

It's amazing how a new phone model can stir such emotions!
Some say it's crazy because you can't buy it or try it yet; well, you can see the pics and you can read the specs - So; WHY NOT!
Nokia 5800 may not be thinner but it's quite a bit lighter than some of the others!
The ifone can't send pic msgs, record video or make video calls but Nokia 5800 can. It also has flash & a memory card!
So, Nokia 5800 may not be the sexiest little piece around but it seems it will be a very good Value For Money UI touchscreen phone...I'll probably buy it!

no this phone not support divx but dont woory men it is os phone so u can install divx player and office document

too late for nokia to release a touchscreen phone, samsung, lg & apple are way too ahead of nokia.
what's good is that it has 3.2mp cam with flash compare to iphone 3g which only kas 2mp cam without flash.
nokia 5800 has a dedicated media key, which iphone has none.
nokia 5800 has lots more features, multi text input, touch, stylus and plectrum, and has MMS capability, which the iphone 3g has no MMS capability.
what's bad about the nokia 5800 is that its thicker compare to iphone 3g. There are also some difficulty on the sensitivity of the touchscreen and slow accelerometer compare to the iphone 3g of apple.
Suggestion, don't buy the Nokia 5800, instead wait for the preceeding models of it, which maybe more improved, thinner and faster processor. :-)
