Just bought this gem 2 weeks ago. Nice sound system, and web browsing is almost as fast as i'm using a pc. I find it easy to use, although some non official apps from nokia would sometimes hang . However this phone won't have any problem running 2/3 apps simultaneously.
The preinstalled Ovi Maps GPS will need internet for you to use, but if you installed Garmin there's no such problem. Battery consumption is high only if you use apps that use sound and graphic intensively, such as realplayer. I managed to watch 2 movies back to back though, when it took 2 bars from the battery meter. Non intensive usage will give you about 3/4 days stanby, I think.
The variations of keyboard and input method ; alpha , mini qwerty,full screen qwerty, and handwriting would suffice to provide you the options for any input you're comfortable with.
There are many Nokia models which could be better, but if you look at this model's current price tag, you would agree with me thats its so much value for money, compared to other phone with similar price range.

sampath, 19 Jan 20115630 nice.better than this. Usage awasome than 5800. Touc... morei am fed up with nokia. same boring UI, no excitement in touchscreen UI, same old color combination & lot of text menus. less graphics. they shud learn from sansung/htc/SonyErc/LG to build the UI.

5630 nice.better than this.
Usage awasome than 5800.
Touchscreen gives lots of problem.
5630 has everything which 5800 has apart of gps.
Disin is good in 5800.
But, u cant use this for long time as 5630d.

i bought 5800 a week ago nd everything goes fine esp. the installed opera mini on my phone, its great. what i regret only hir is d camera, so poor , esp in dark and even it has a dual flash, but in bright places its quite clear.

Guyz dis mob is value for money.....me using it frm past 15months.....ppl who hav complaints on it PLz try to use it in a proper way......

I had this phone for 12 months and then the screen started giving problems.I had never liked 5800's touchscreen.its resistive and not responsive.u hav to press the screen so hard and then it registers any command.5800 is basically a pressscreen phone. LOL
The audio of dis phone is fine.The quality is good and loudness is also satisfactory.But the camera is pathetic and nowhere near N73's camera.
The material with which 5800 is built is also not good.Its bad plastic that is used and its of bad quality.The thickness of this phone is also bad.It is very thick.
The symbian installed in it is also very laggy.May be its the problem of the processor.But to open any app u need to first press the screen very hard and then wait for 20 sec to open any app.Its pathetic.
So guys i would suggest u all to buy samsung wave.ITS AN AWESOME PHONE.I hav no regrets buying it.

l am using 5800 since 10 months and i saw other touch screen phones of other brands. touh responce of 5800 is little late but not bad and symbian operating system is classick and l supports lot of applications by these ur phone feels u like smart phone but price is not affordable.

i got the 5800 , its brilliant , do your software upgrades regularly and you will really enjoy it better, the touch qwerty when the software upgrades are done is great.

[deleted post]if u want touchscreeen and music thn buy 5800. if u wan qwerty and browsing thn buy e71. dont go for c6. it's sliding mechanism is not good and its not fast either

i think it is too cool till now with 3g , but not in budget for a middle earning person , expected prices r around 5000
