A new CFW for Nokia 5800 will soon be released by PNHT...Some Symbian^3 like UI expected...! What they will come up with this time around other than C6 FW. Will be interesting to see...!

I have owned Kyocera, Sony Ericcson, Some Motorola's and many Nokias. This is the BEST Mobile Phone I have ever owned. I owned a Nokia E50 that almost "divorced" me from the Nokia brand, due to the infamous "rubber on/off switch", almost descartable. But now I'm married again to Nokia... This Smartphone is in a different classs... superb Carl Zeiss Camera/Video, full GPS with OVI FREE world-wide maps, an incredible screen resolution plus colors, EDGE Class 32, Wi-Fi WLAN... This is the death sentence for iPhone (very much expensive and incomplete).
It's no question that about 12 millions units of Nokia's 5800 have beeen sold world-wide. Android??? Don't make me laugh... Mighty Symbian60 has much more affordable Apps and has 40% of Smartphones O/S market share. Blackberry??? A bulky, very ugly and expensive device, only feasible for Corporate users. Nokia 5800 XPressMusic is OTSTANDING and at an AFFORDABLE PRICE. Believe me... HURRRA for Nokia this time !!!

Most of the nokia manufacturing units are in china only . In India also most os the nokia comes through Chine only because nokia has itself given there work to them because of cheap labeor .I am nokia fan for last 5 yrs I buying nokia without looking it comes from china or not

You fist remove your mem card and then restart the phone. After the phone has restarted, insert the mem card. The problem will be solved.

vareta, 04 Dec 2010my phone can't turn on or restart when my mem card is inse... moremy friend had such problem, he brought his phone to repair and they said it was a virus. if u want to save ur files u should go to nokia care. otherwise format it.

can someone help me? I installed Fring on my phone, but I have no Facebook option...How can I add Facebook? I only have Twitter, Gtalk, Yahoo, etc...

To all 5800 users:
Try flashing your phone to a custom firmware!
I recommend using rs08's firmware (improved version of PNHT firmware). My battery life now lasts for 3 DAYS!

sarkar, 03 Dec 2010i bought nokia 5800 some days ago, but battery backup is too low.yours is 2nd hand or new? if new .. google for 'battery saving tips for 5800'
if 2nd hand ...buy new batt.
batt on any smrtphone dont last compared to java phone...espesially u r excited with your newly bought phone...net browsing, taking videos,music etc
