from malaysia too...i've been using 5800 for almost 1 year now. with fw v50 its like having X6 without paying extra money.i bought it becos of handwritting recognition.
screen is bigger than 5730(useful if u r surfing the net). batt duration is longer than 5730 (see the batt spec). choose 5800 if u prefer a touchscreen phone. buy 5730 if u prefer a qwerty phone but 5800 has a virtual qwerty too! why dont u go to any Nokia Centre and try the demo set. but just ensure the 5800 demo set has been upgraded to at least fw v50.
well if u want both touchescreen and physical qwerty then go for C6...
i'm happy n proud with my 5800.. its cheap now compare to one year ago... to me people are still take 5800 as their benchmark before buying their next phone.. i bet they endup buying this phone cheersss..

for all the people who want to buy this phone now my advice is plz dont buy this phone now.its a 2 year old phone now.it may be a great phone in 2008 but not in 2010, the phone is really slow even with firmware version 51.something. the 3.2 mp camera is really.it lacks any vivid colors. the quality of the pics cant be compared even to a 2 mp cam. 128 mb ram isnt enough to support your multitasking needs. if u fill up the 8gb memory card n if u go to gallery it will take ages to refresh to load. same goes with music player. if u fill up ur 8 gb memory card you will have to wait for so much time to go to albums or all songs.and my advice for people especially from india, in india nokia is providing some cheap iem or earphones.its quality is that u will cry for buying this phone.

Anthony, 05 Sep 2010My phone has jammed. the touch screen has completely stoppe... morejust make a hardware reset which deletes all the phone data and clears any software issues to the phone.
PROCESS OF HARDWARE RESET:
switch off the phone and hold GREEN KEY, RED KEY, CAMERA SIDE KEY and by holding these keys switch on the device. hold those keys untill complete start up. this solvs most of the software issues

I will tell you the advantage of 5800 and 5730. 1-3.2 INCH screen. 2-free navi system free turn by turn gps. 3-more more loudness in loudspeaker & it is seterio not mono . 4-434 MHz prossesor not only 369 MHz . The advantage of 5730 .1- real qwerty key pad . 2- n-gage blatform. 3-cheaper price. In my opinion the free navi system in 5800 is give it more value than 5730 . Like i say before it depend on you.

[deleted post]of coz 5800...it has better audio quality and touchscreen..basically i see 5800 is superior than 5730 in all aspects and cheaper..if u prefer the keypad, then just go for C6...
