azm, 03 Jun 2010its from me forgot to the "azm" ha ha haOh i see. Actually i alrdy hve thought about rem0ving unncessary app. Aftr i encountered freezng. I rem0ved ds Glass of beer thing i got fr0m ovi. .so far ds m0rning aftr rem0ve few app it ddnt hang anym0re. But i worry might hang again..ths s my first symbian ph0ne. I dnt want to believe that ds s n0rmal i just bought and i encountered hanging today. My ph0ne mem0ry stl n 58mb and my mem0ry care 6.2gb stl a lot of r0om storage. The saleslady its normal for symbian phone freeze s0metime. S ds true? Or should i brng back my ph0ne at the vendor soon? Or should observe ds ph0ne for few days? Please I really appreciate ur helpng me thru ds azm. Thanks

no doubt its an amazin set,,no probs yet avn afta 1 yr,,,,bt nw its givin me a strange kinda prob. afta sumtym it get restart afta flashing colors n horrible effcts..
plz help me out.

ON factory settng the ori apps will still be in your phone. the contacts,sms, photos etc will still be there.
2)HR will wipe everthing so unless u done backup u'll be in serious trouble. so u need back up to restore the original app back. i havent done HR so far cos not necessary for me.
3)i dont think HR will affect the contacts in the sim card. but hr will affect contacts in the phone mem.but to be safe u can take out the sim card...
do d fac setting 1st then only hr...
perhaps it freeze cos the main/phone mem is at minimum? check your file manager, mine never go down below 25mb. maybe becos of the apps u installed make your phone freeze.
do d fac setting first. if not uninstall some downloaded apps. well the last resort is hr

azm, 03 Jun 2010pls be patient with this XM yes it is a very interesting ph... moreHi azm! ive just read the threads. I undrstand to backup all the files first thru pc suite, i used to do that on my previous SE phone. I jus few questions bfore i do the hard reset.
1)Have u done this to ur phone? Did the factory settng or h.reset on your 5800 solve yours?
2)Does h.r. Restores the preloaded applications? i mean orig app since bought the phone frm the shop?..
3)can u do h.r. Without simcard? Just for sure to keep my c0ntacts n0t to be deleted...
I need ur advise azm...thanks

I alrdY downloaded skype app ang fring for skype video call. Awesome..but is ds really normal? It jus happend today ds freezing 2x ds m0rning.. Better try ds hard reset. Thanks again xD!

pls search "hard reset" in the this user opinion.there r tips that may settle your prob.
but PLEASE ONLY DO THE HARD RESET after u do BACK UP.
however try the factory setting first to see if its settle your matter.
otherwise its easier to go back to dealer n request a replacement but dont u done tell them on d firmware update or else they'll blame on u the matter

Hi guys! Just bought mine 5800 navi ed. 2 days ago. I alrdy updated the frmware fr0m v.30 to v.50 then just encountered freezing. I was browsing the net thru operamini 10 then suddenly i my inbox rcve 2 sms frm my friends. So i went to task manager I open d inbox then open then reply sms then it freeze. I cn back to my other task anym0re. I waitd for 5mins still freezed! Hve n0 othr opti0n but to turn off my m0bile. I called my vendor d sales lady said its n0rmal for symbian phone to freeze s0metime. Is ds true? Should i request for replcement? PLEASE S0MEBODY HELP is DS normal?
