only one problem it has resistive touchscreen it is good but capacitive touchscreen is best

1)how to do soft reset?
= switch off (using power button) and switch on is soft reset.
2)whats the diff between soft reset and hard reset? is hard reset means factory reset which also mean reformat?
= Hard reset is done using GREEN+RED+Camera simultanesously when power ON. It is equal to factory reset. That is, once u do a h.r., it is like you bought a new phone from shop, i.e. phone memory is clean , however it doesnt erase the card memory. But pls take backup of all contents from phone memory (like Phonebook, calendar, notes, messages etc)
3)do hard reset erase all apps/data n the phone need to be restore fr backup date?
= Yes. Backup before h.r. and Restore afterwards.

Soft reset is done by the OS running in phone if system hangs. You/user cannot do soft reset.
Hard reset you can do two ways one is switching mobile off and on using on/off button and second one is removing battery and putting it back.
If i wrong pleas suggest anybody.

i have this phone within the 1st 2 months i had few problem's it looses time, my screen kept stuffing up numbers were freezing, my phone has been sent back twice with different problem's, 2 wks of having it back i yet agian have another problem, i wouldnt recommend this phone

Haha, well, i was arguing wif my cuz who came fr india. n he was an iphone lover, though he doesnt hv it. he was braggin bout the features of it. i jus shut him off easily.. the clarity of the camera, the sound quality, the touch. he jus lost n he was diverting towards the revolutionary of iphone, the speed, the touch. u can only use ur fingers on iphone, unlike this wonderful 5800, where u can use any object, ie nail, stylus, etc.
and the best part is, the typin of sms, he claims that its faster than our 123 numerical keypads. these keypads wif using the dictionary function, it'll be way faster than the iphone.
to me, only dumb n fashionable ppl n who wants to show of fwould buy iphone. why pay more when u can hv everything at 1/3 of a price. only difference is the appz. but hey, will anyone be using all of those appz? i dun tink so.
i'm pretty happy wif this phone n it has everything in it. nokia 5800 has indeed changed the industry n also NOKIA. thanks. :-) we loveu 5800!

Ahmed, 13 May 2010When i try to record a video with the mobile from a screen ... moreYour TV is old kind and it has screen scan rate of 60hz 30fps in PAL mode or 50Hz in NTSC mode with 24fps, where your camera can video record at 30fps but still can not shut frames in the same time your TV set does, maybe if it is Digital TV you can do that, otherwise not on old TV set!

Updated my phone and it's smooth. Only problem cannot refresh my music library. Weird, tried a lot of things but it doesn't find any songs on my memory card.
The 5800 is a great value and the new firmware makes the user experience nicer. Maps is excellent. Email and connectivity options had to be set up again but it was easy. Using fring for chat and it supports all famous talk clients, call quality on fring to fring call is excellent.
