Just got the 5800...great in use..n the software update adds on the screen beauty more sensitive and responsive...Also the deal includes(INR:12800+tax) every basic things in box + sennheiser Headset(PMX60)..The default earphone is also diff. now its better...and the applications from Ovi are unlimited..Browser usage is also great....Word of advice do update your set to V.50.!

Anonymous, 04 May 2010that's how i upgraded my 5800 from v31 to v50 when all else... moreit's free upgrade if your phone is still under warranty... otherwise RM$50....

just remember to back up your data as everything was reset to factory defaults after the firmware upgrade...

5800 shows the caller's number and noway to hide it .... this sucks

i was able to update ny 5800 from v3 to v5 after much struggling. it is working fine but when i am writing sms and i jump to the next line the case remain lower but before it automatically changes to upper

keith, 04 May 2010people need help! i already change the product code so many... moreYou shall use winxp-sp3 and not Vista or win7 to update your phone, and after you change product code toy our phone, you must clean and uninstall NSU and everything about nokia, even the files on temporary directory and internet caches of your winxp prior to installing NSU again, and you must have computer access as administrator!!!
If it does not work again, than probably your phone is simm locked, and you shall try Jaf software room modding at w w w. m o b i l e s m a n i a . c o m
but bifore trying all this, maybe you shall visit your local nokia store and ask them to update, it shall be free i guess.

people need help! i already change the product code so many times and use other codes as well but im still unable to upgrade my 5800 from v31 to v40 or v50 via FOTA or NSU. alsu NSU is always not available when starting up the application. what to do to gave it updated. mine is a RM-356 silver lining bought last year in the ph. nokia ali mall or others doesnt want to upgrade my phone at all. need help!!!!
