Anonymous, 03 Apr 2010Hey you know what , i am using this Nokia 5800 Expressic M... moreHey...that's happened 2 me too man.,it happens yesterday but in my case the multi color shown when it's on idle and auto key active then when i slide the button to unlock those multi colour showin'...but since my phone is still under warranty period then i bring it to nokia care.,they told me 2 wait 1week 2 fix it. i'll post the result later.

It cold happen due to several reasons.
1. Maybe your touchscreen is about to get busted.
2. Maybe you ran out of ram because you used the touchscreen frequently (that was the case with my 5610,it too did that when i over used it )
Anyway the nokia 5800 is a good mobile, don'tinstall unnecessary or semi-compatible apps, keep your phone memory clean. This should help!!!

When you browse, never cover that part with the hand, hold from the side. If you cover ot, it'll make the antenna work harder and use a lot of power, causing the battery to heat up!! Hope this helps: )

I use this phone as my secondary phone.
I works well, is quite fast compared to the N97 (my primary phone) and the photos are quite good, the video quality is also quite good...
My only dismay with this phone is the fact that the built-in speakers aren't that loud, the earphones provided by Nokia aren't that good, and the fact that the phone doesn't come with the silicon Case (like when it was first launched) puzzles me... in my opinion, if they had thought that the casing wasn't good they should have replaced it with another... not to mention the avi cable is no longer part of the box-set... would appreciate if Nokia had intergrated the FM-Transmitter like the one N97 has...
Overall I think it's a good phone that serves it's function well...

Hey you know what , i am using this Nokia 5800 Expressic Music for the past 2 and a half months now and sometimes what happens is the screen turns into multi-coloured strips and then the phone restarts ..Itys like the phone is loosing battery ..It has happened many a times with this phone now....And this normally happends when i am typing messages or when i am using the touchscreen extensively ......Is something like this happenin with others also ?...Please suggest measures .........

The touchscreen is not very sensitive, so you'll have to press a bit harder and slower. Overall it's not very difficult but it can be irritating if you were to type a whole chunk of words quickly.
