I am really upset with this phone. It stopped working after 5 days of purchasing it. and the Nokia Guys are not even ready to replace it...it is so ridiculus to buy such an expensive phone and use it just for 5 days.

hello all. i hv something to ask,,, since yesterday, something happend to my hp,,, when i played a song, the screen become white and hv a colorful line in right screen... and after that, it restart by itself.. can some one help me....

i have this phone sicne a month ago , everything was great but then my phone pop up a message that says C memory full please delete files, i never install a file on c i always install on my 8gb sd so i checked the full memory and theres 89mb used on other folder but i dontsee any file in there so iam getting sick of this phone i like it but iam getting tires that i cant send sms becuase of this error y cnatsvae a new number and need todelete browsing history cache and cookies everytime i browse by the way my firmware version is the 20.2.014.327.08 i know about the 40 update but when i sync the devicetomake the upgrade it says that i have the most recent update i dont know what to do i dont wnat tohack it

well small draw back (which might be the only one) is after upgrading to formware V40 I cannot play MP4 videos which are converted from AVI.. it use to get stuck but the audio contenues.. wonder why.. other than that SUPERB phone.. any multemedia players that I can install to resolve this.. this is important since now I cannot import any films coz the original format is AVI.. I didnt have this problem with earlier firmware versions.. PLS HELP GUYS...

5530 misses a lot of features that are offered by 5800XM. Prices are almost the same.

To anyone who has doubts regarding the battery life claims of Nokia regarding this phone, please rest assured that the 5800XM lives up to it.
With normal usage (1.5 hours of mixed usage a day) the battery lasts upto 5 days with ease.
Also even when there is just one bar remaining, I was able to listen to 1 hour of music with headphones on :)

1-nokia... moreThe phones you've shortlisted are in completely different leagues.
The 5800XM is a music phone. It's actually one of the best music phones currently out there (read GSM arena review) The E71 & E75 are business phones with more business centered applications.
It's really a question of 1. what you really want and 2. your budget :) Read the features again, there are tons of differences, not just the touchscreen.
And as for lasting 2 years and durability, it all depends on your usage. If you are a rough user, touchscreen phones are definitely not an option. And neither is the E75's slider QWERTY keyboard. But yes if the screen is damaged, it is reparable and yes it is expensive. Also it is tedious to work on small keypads (for me at least) so there touchscreen keyboards are a boon. But while travelling on bad roads, it's almost impossible to do anything on a touchscreen. I have to use voice controls then.
I know people who are using the 5800XM since more than a year without any issues till date.

nokiafan16, 16 Feb 2010i bought my 5800 XM just days ago and i still cant upgrade ... moreVisit the nearest Nokia Care Centre, they'll do it for free. NSU doesn't update sometimes. It's a region, code thing.

It is a good phone, but most of the time the screen goes blank/switches itself off as time goes on.Sometimes the screen freezes.
