Chai, 09 Feb 2010hai, there,u need to locate yourself at a totally open area... moreThanx Chai for ur reply.. but.. i used to run GPS perfectly on my phone.. but now its not working anymore.. i formated the mobile and formated the memory card and reinstalled ovi maps.. still can't get any signal and sometimes the satellite icon in the right top of the screen keeps on even after turning off the maps program.. and i need to restart the mobile in order to remove the icon which keeps stuck.. do i have to reinstall the firmware or what? am really depressed...

Hi guys can help me how to access on nokia ovi player? Because i can't access on it. It always incountered an error everytime i clicked the nokia ovi player icon on my PC. I've even reinstalled it siveral times , hoping i could fix the error. But sad to say it does't work out. Please guys, if someone out there know how to fix this essue, pls advice me. I just want to access on ovi player in order to make the most of my music files.

hi, i have updated my device to V40 but can not see any changes. what is kinetic scrolling and where is it??? it has all the same scrolling tool bar side the screen for up and down.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2009thanks aris but thats not what i meant. i meant the manual/... moreI did install the software in order to update my firmware, and did it from the UK site since any software I use is english, it worked, the turkish type language option doesn't work though that's not a problem since the GSM networks don't support turkish characters in SMS'es anyway.

Upgraded firmware to version 40 and it sucks... it has hanged several times and restarts by itself too...
DONOT UPGRADE TO V40!!!

Haha, well, no solution as of now. wow, urs is 53meg, thats great. Well, i think ovimaps takes in quite a huge amount of space. well, if i figure out, i'll let u noe. i've read somewhere that u can do a restore factory settings or soft reset. that might do the trick.
and for the smartmovie, it can play avi, mp4, etc, but the playback is not smooth, it is jerky, so u need to convert it wif a converter (smartmovie converter) n need to convert it on ur pc and then send it to ur phone.
as of now, there is no proper player thar can play smoothly avi files (as i noe of).

Is there any application which plays multiple videos files?
What codecs does smartmovie supports? can it play direct dvd quality videos on the phone? My motorokr e6 does dvd movies using qezplayer please do reply some experienced users

Hi Peeps, well, upgraded to version 40 now, n my internal memory has been deeply low, it's only 33MB! before this, i had v30 installed, n it was bout 50MB. so much difference. well, i tink Nokia should think of upgrading the intl memory and as well as the memory, its only 128! thats so not enuf. the phone nowdays offs n on frequently, when i'm doin something, ie opening a some programs. I have ample of programs n games, so 128 Ram is not sufficient. but i have this prob where my phone restarts by itself. i do not know y. has anyone experience this? thanxx

A.M, 08 Feb 2010i have a problem and i wish to find a solution for it.. my ... morehai, there,u need to locate yourself at a totally open area, no tall tree n building to avoid the signal of gps be shielded, then wait for about 5 mins or sometime longer, your 5800 will receive the satellite signal. be patient, just wait at the open area, gps will fuction well as long as your gps setting in your 5800 is correct. i always use my 5800 gps, it works properly.

U can find insert symbols using ''insert symbol'' option by clickin on d option represtented by 3 parallel lines below the done option in full qwerty keyboard. But, there's option for qwestion mark in full qwerty keyboard, directly, in the place next to fullstop button

i have a problem and i wish to find a solution for it.. my GPS is not working at all now.. it just stopped working.. either there is no GPS signal at all or the signal is showing red lines(not regular yellow and green) , the icon for GPS is show on the right top of the screen but it never connects to satellite... and when i enter applications -> location and try to show satellite status, it shows nothing.. please if someone knows anything i can do plz help me.. ty in advance..
