Can any one let me know about the lifetime of the TOUCHSCREEN in 5800? Is it possible to replace the touchscren alone(i.e the glass panel) in this phone if touchscreen doesn't work properly in future. If so how much it cost?

from where can i update my firmware to v40? NSU shows latest firmware is v31 :P..Whats the advantages of v40? does it increase battery life? and which version is better? v31 or v40? v31 is going good without any hang..pls tell me...

I got my 5800 just a week ago, i must say its a nice phone. Im just wondering it has a caller id, but how come it doesn't have a texters' id? be waiting for your reply. thanks.

Its just 12,999/- rupees in india with 1 yr warranty, 8 GB card , head set etc..man DEAD CHEAP for the spec it offers :)

I have also upgraded to v40 from Nokia care, NSU was not showing any update. Now, I think Nokia has completed all the lacks in this phone. Kinetic scrolling is good but due to low processor speed, it is not smooth, you can't see the contacts clearly when it is moving (like the iphone) but still it is the best phone for the price. I have used Panasonic, Samsung, Motorola and Nokia but Nokia is the most user friendly.

scrolling involves some sort of flicking gestures.
Made popular in iPhone, flick list quickly invades

it may have had its glory days but it actually sucks nowadays. i'd better go for X2, N900 or milestone.

The Nokia 5800 handset is a best handset. It has all the necessary functions which is mainly used by the users. It has 3.2 MP camera with extra clearity with flash, it has very good sound for music, it has seconday camera, it has many potions for shorcuts, it is very easy to use, it is best for using internet, etc. I am also using this handet for long time and i say that this is the best handse provide by nokia on the time of today with low expenses.

dont give such n***y comments about 5800. if you dont like the handset just sell it and buy 5530..
i am sure within 2 days you will come back to 5800
