i bought this phone for many reasons and one of them was the music player.why is it then that no matter what memory card i put in it it only supports 375 songs (or roughly 2gb).ive tried it with many different cards.my lg phones let me read and listen to all i have on it but this one doesnt even let me read anything over the 375 mark.whats the point of a music express phone if it has a capacity so small for songs.i would also appreciate anyone telling me im wrong and how to fix it if possible.cheers

People get into issues cause either they are using Old Buggy Software version or they have installed some S60v3 application which makes the OS software unstable, due to which you can have hang, battery drain or some other issues...
Even the softwares which states they are compatible with both S60v3 and S60v5, are generally made for S60v3 devices, which do can create issues...

My product code was same and version was same...
So, I couldn't get the update.
Only solution is to change the product code by JAF and update it... as update to this product code is not released and I don't think in near future they are going to...
Cause we even didn't got the ver 31.
Changing Product code is very simple... and update it with Nokia Software Updater

Y'all should really get a nokia 5800 for ppl out there wondering whether yo buy 5800 or other phones cause I think it's the best value for money and it's tough... Why I said that is bcos my 5800 went into a bucket of water 2 times before, but i just let it dry for a few days, switch it on, and it still runs perfectly, Nokia did a great job,very amazing!! And till now, I still think the 5800 uses a good sound card cause music played by 5800 speakers are so clear n loud, for music fans out there, you'll surely not be dissapointed by this phone!! If you love music, GET IT!!! Yea nokia 5800 Xpress Music, rock on!!

hey i'm currently running on v30 firmware, when i try to update the nsu says that my service provider does not allow this update??? what does that mean and why isnt it getting updated, my product code is : 0575586 please help!

@Sofia India, I faced the display problem in four new 5800 pieces all are box packed and brought from multi chain reputed retailer, the displays get horizontal and vertical lines after switch on the phone. I ex-changed the pieces still got the same problem randomly when I am using TATA-Docomo sim for other sim's it's not frequent. Actually I likes Nokia 5800 but after this problem am frustated and made up my mind for still another nokia 5230 which is WIFI less I don't mind WIFI it's not required in India not many access points, and 2MP cam not much diff from 3MP falsh 5800(I have 12MP digi cam) and the music is better in 5230 as per GSM the only prob is Speaker I am thinking about and the price 5K INR diff.
