guys v40 is now available in india. no need to hack or any special effort. just use *#0000# and go for update in options and thats it
its just wonderful.. i m loving it
bought it in oct and now i m three months exp .. u can ask any ques...

Awesome phone with awesome sounds... my friend who has an iPod touch like the sounds of this more than the iPods which speaks a lot for itself...
overall awesome phone but wish the touch was a bit more sensitive + had kinetic scrolling :)

Ali, 16 Jan 2010How are you upgrade to v.40 i cant find itif you have installed nokia PC suit in your pc you can easily upgrade to v40 by clicking NSU (nokia software updater)

Hey everyone I am thinking of buying either the 5530 or 5800 because of the new software update they now have the same user interface, but i'm just wondering is it ok to watch movies on them, the file size won't make the phone lag, and what about memory cards, can they really handle 16gb micro sd or 8gb better?

ok , well to bad for me, i tried typing my product code in nokia website but still v31, also tried connecting my device to my pc ang opened NSU but still says v31, swerte mo tol v40 na sayo !

Previously could not update my firmware from 3.0 to 4.0. I then changed my product code by downloading JAF program(info and tutorials on the net) to one of the product codes that has update available. Then I used NSU as was able to update to version 4.0. Update seems awesome. Go ahead and try it.

Can I directly update my firmware ver 21 to ver 40?
Or I must upgrade first to ver 30 and then to ver 40?
