Nokia 5800 XP music is the best!!! to all you nokia users out there...it's either hate it or deal with it!
why would comment negatively...in the first place...why did ya buy the phone when all you is complain. Tke the risk dude!it's just like us...NOT PERFECT! so immature!

Tell Your Father to Buy Nokia 5800 instead of Nokia N97 because of the slide feature that N97 possesses its a delicate phone and it has a software problem even though u upgrade the software it wont help much.

Does anybody who owns this phone have successfully
updated their software from version 21 to version 31?
If so, may I know your Product Code which is found in
the sticker under the battery? This phone still says
"No Update", and I'm wondering if the phone was too
new for the update. The Product Code is 0588645.
Hope to find some answers here.

Its one month since i bought my nokia5800(Came with Firmware V 30). Nokia is calling the word Firmware as Software Version. To check ur firmware Version, type
*#0000# the software version page will open automatically.
It's working nice and no problem till date.
Don't load the memory card to it's full capacity. 75% usage of the memory card space is preferable. Also remember to clear your logs once in 15days and your inbox too if it's more than 100messages. The above options are just a suggestion for optimum usage of the phone's performance.
For it's price and performance N5800 is far above than it's competitors.
Delicate Usage Preferable for long life of the phone (common for all types of Touch Screen Phones)
Touchscreen - very responsive
Camera - Above average if u choose the correct mode
Voice Command Feature - Very Good
Web browsing - Good
Music and Video Listening - Nice
Overall Performance - 95%

Okay. I'll definately ask when I'll go for buying it. BTW, they are also not giving the phone case seperately. I know its not in the box anymore but they could atleast give it loose and sure can charge for it.

Does anyone know if nokia is still manufacturing this phone or are they still going to manufacture this phone next year..?
also has anyone got an idea whether nokia is still working on another version of software update or not anymore.
i need an answer right away so please..
we need to find out if the nokia will still release this unit next year.

5800 has an awesome sound quality.
if you want a better picture shots or videos buy a digital camera
if you want complete function with WLAN buy a laptop
you cannot blame it on the handset afterall it is a phone "a phone!" :))
if you want em all buy 5800, but you have to realize that it is a phone!

hei guys 5800 is one of the complete phone features...
if you want it to last for 3 years buy a 2nd phone for texting and calling. dont over use 5800 because it's also a sensitive one.
P1300 is not bad at all right??

if you hate nokia phones then you hate nokia as well.
this is easy folks dont buy nokia phones anymore... :)you always have a 2nd choice and if you once have experienced failure from nokia then try other brands... :)

Quality,... moreif you just bought it from the nokia store there could have been no problem at all...
it's a usual thing that your phone might need a software update after purchasing it.
usual symptoms are:
your phone restarts by itself
or it hangs up.
but take note that this is not a defect nor a broken phone "it just needs a SOFTWARE UPDATE" even the one's that was bought in nokia store or any other registered retailer. so dont worry if these things happens to your 5800 because it also happens in most of the units of any other brands.

janno, 22 Nov 2009i created playlist and after several days, when opening my ... moremost likely your files were corrupted. it was caused by one or more of your files and affected other files in your memory.
you can have your software updated but in this case the care center agent usually suggest that you reformat your memory card, well you can always back up your files(pics, videos,tones and mp3s) but due to file corruption it is strictly being advised that you do not put the files that you had on your memory card again. cause same problem might occur or worst it might affect everything in your memory and have it all corrupted. :) cheers
