just called up nokia care... they say u get the 3 month fee nav only if u have it printed on your retail package/box... nuthin on mine.. so i dnt have any free navigation... ne one elso who bought it in india in october got free navigation..?

Hey guys,
I have a lil problem... I recently updated nokia maps 2(pre-installed) with nokia maps 3 on my phone.. Now when trying to avtivate the 3 months free license for navigation, it does not detect any license and gives me the option to purchase new license.... Ne ideas on how can I use 3 months of nav which are supposed to come Bundled with the phone... I bought it on 17th october... in India.

Is firmware v31 available in india. Still my software updater says it has only v30.00.
Also anyone was able to register for the 3months free nokia gps - everytime I check for license it says no updates.
100 free tracks of music was wonderfull-but protected with Windows DRM, how to remove the DRM from the music.

i ve downloaded so many softwares but none of them cud b instald includin opera v10...while installing it shows xpired certificat....since thursde i m getn another problem,touchscreen doesnt respond wen i call or a call comes in..plzhelppppp plz plz

As an early adopter of Windows 7 64 bit and having recently acquired a 5800 express music I am very frustrated by the failure of Nokia to provide support for the new operating system. Thinking of matching a windows 7 computer and a Nokia 5800 express music for Christmas. Forget it they are not off the starting block!!

hello all. This fone is absolutely amazing....it does everything that omniaHD does..camera is bit useless but for divx download & buy SMARTMOVIE 4.15. Amazing software available for this fone. Right now this fones a bargain as X6 is about to be released! I've had it since march and with firmware updates its totally different to what it was with v10.if anyone has qns msg me and i'll reply.

This phone is a must have. it does it all for the average users and the advanced users. I have had this handset for a little over 2 months now and I love wat it can do and it's great features. Apps make the phone even more exited; you get to explore the phone beyond ur expectations and imagination. I must praise Nokia for keeping up with the mobile market and the demand of the people. 5 stars to nokia.

feliloi, 06 Nov 2009thank you...hey but i never opened da front panel ...duh!! ... moreNo, not the plastic covering...the top part of your 5800 is a touchscreen panel and the actual LCD lies below it. If you check your fone properly, there is a separation rim around it (parallel to the blue/red/white rim around the fone). Just like you open the back panel of your fone to remove your battery, you can remove the front panel to access the LCD.
When you give your fone for repairing/servicing, they open the front panel....thus exposing your LCD to dust. This MIGHT me the case or it might be an LCD defect. If its a defect then you can replace your LCD for free(provided its under warranty).

dropdead, 06 Nov 2009are you sure its lcd ? cause lcd is expensive to replace ):ya i m 90% sure bcoz i have gone through many reviews and also i lost mine while updating the firmware.I know its very expensive but dont worry nokia will replace it free of cost if its under warranty.

i use "xvid4psp modded version for 5800"
(original xvid4psp has nokia 5700 in place of nokia 5800)
or use "super" video converter
if u wanna convert HD video resolutions like 1080p and 720p Xvid4psp modded version / super video converter is best.(you get absolutely loseless conversion @ 29.7 fps)
if u wanna convert videos less than 720p . tonnes of converters can convert the videos.

nokiadik, 06 Nov 2009how long did you charge your nokia 5800 when you first boug... moreHmmmm??? didn't know anything about that, i did it first charging until the icon of battery stop flashing, so maybe abut hour, two hours maybe. Did I do something wrong???

I've downloaded mp4 video on my 5800, but i can't watch it. It's showing 'unable to play media clip. Either video or sound play partially' . The video is of 388*288. Can't it play video with higher resolution?

You should hope it is a dead pixel, as this will be covered by warranty, a screen bleed is not.
