Hi
I purchased the 5800xm one month back and it was ok till last week when i faced this problem,when i recive a call,the silence button and answer button on the screen is not responding when i press it.also when i made acall and i press the speaker button it is not working.This problem happens sometimes not all the time.other than this the touchscreen is working perfect.
Can someone help me solving this problem.

Hai. I bought a New Nokia 5800 XM. I am new to nokia multimedia phones. I transfer some song folder from my system to this phone. I want to select the songs from this folder in my phone, but in the phone all songs are showing, but not the folder. Is there any option to see the folder as we see in a computer.

I read that the 5800 XpressMusic would be discontinued from this year end ... and ONLY the 5800 Navigation Edition would be available.
That is the reason for the price and accessory cuts, since they are clearing the stock and would no longer sell or support 5800 XpressMusic.
This also helps them keep 5530 XM in the game.

I got the 5800xm from qatar and it doesn't have a case or a stand, but everything else is included. The phone is made in CHINA, so is this Fake or Genunie. Please confirm ASAP cos if it is a fake i can return it.

But again, with USD 350 unlocked i got 5800 with rich retail package. And hey, phone case look sexy and durable. My friends like the case. In terms of price nothing can beat 5800. If price is no problem for you, go ahead to iphone. By the way i bought w960 for SGD 410 in singapore.

FR, 12 Sep 20095800 is better than w960. 5800 over w960: You get rich reta... morebut dude what i fear about getting the xpress music is it sucks so much 'in looks more than features' than the the iphone and is less idk cooler. iphone is soo technological. i know the xpres has some better features but when someone pulls out an iphone and youre there with this long THIN phone which looks cheaper i'll feel bad. get what i mean. but how much does the xpress cost and how much does the W960 cost?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 19705800 is better than w960. 5800 over w960: You get rich retail package, the diplay is bigger and amazing, faster performance, more responsive touchscreen, longer battery life, better sound quality, better build quality, more pocket friendly, you can play youtube directly from default browser and etc etc..I had w960 before 5800 so that i can tell you the differences. My major complain about w960 is its very slow performance and not responsive touchscreen. Looks cheap too.

The 5530 will be launched at approximately the same price next month ... now lets assume the 5800 gets kinetic scrolling and homescreen updated via a "one-firmware-fits-all-Nokia touchphones" update as per your sources ...
Barring the slimmer size and better looks (subjective), there is nothing going for the 5530 ... you miss out on 4 GB extra memory, you get a smaller screen, no GPS, no 3G (which will be very very very active next year in India) ... the 5530 would be a monumental disaster.
It's a bitter pill to swallow man ... your 5800 ain't gonna get what you're dreaming of.

Yeah, since this phone is selling so well as it is, I realy doubt Nokia will risk affecting sales of other phones. I personally don´t even mind not having kinectic...but ,come on, the main screen should AT LEAST allow more (maybe even all) contacts by conventional scrolling or by filling up all the void. Limiting it to four contacts is simply absurd. Other links on the main screen would be welcome too, but I´d be happy w more contacts. Anyways..sigh

sam, 11 Sep 2009guys how is the visibility of 5800 in sunlight?it obsorbs light it doesn't reflect it
but the light sensor is ok it gets pretty bright so it's more visible but it's plastic so it can't be helpe but i can see what i'm doing at 12-3 pm sunlight and that's the bright point of the day
