Hi guys.....i have this phone and there is something i want to know...i'm unable to get the updates of the software...i have the V20, but i have download an application from the nokia page to my PC and it seems that with it i can update my phone (i haven't try to do it). What i want to know is:
1) do i need to save the info of the memory of the phone before doing it???
2)If something happen, can i reset the phone version and get the V20 again??? If that can be done, how can i do it??

Fraz, 21 Aug 2009hi guys i just bought it yesterday. it hangs while using ... moreNobody can help you. Thats just the way the 5800 is. Pulling the battery will fix the problem. The more often you use the phone, especially while moving and it performs handoffs or you use the net, the more often you will have to pull the battery. I've never had to do it more than three times in a ten hour period though. I sent it back to Nokia. We'll see if they can help. The phone works poorly on the V20 and V21 software, and they won't release V30 to U.S., probably another bad writing. I'm hoping the Sony Ericsson Rachael comes to U.S. and has good programming. Im done with Nokia.

it is really........wrost phone......
never ever buy this.......
it has a lot lot lot of problems....\

I bought this phone 5 days. Great n amazing phone. Used to have E50 n E51, since E52 is out of stock, I grabbed XM 5800. Overall, it's great phone, but needs to have one touch access for messaging.. Like the access for multimedia, clock, calender n profile.. But overall its great n fun...

i bought 5800 yesterday from hotspot from rs 15010 but in retail pacage it was return nokia 5800 black nm1 and was written tv out is not compatible with this model, and didnt got carrying case extra stylus and mobile stand and in box it was also not written, has nokia stop giving them with 5800 or wat but touchscreen is great now but in audio my 5130 beats hell out of it.

1. Is the touchscreen and UI really that bad?
2. Is the camera good?
3. how is the battery life?
4. Does it have Predictive text Input?
5. Should i wait for... perhaps the 5900 Xpress Music being Rumored?
I am just LOVING DROOLING over the POSITIVE REVIEWS this device is getting :)..... i don't care what anyone else thinks... this is definitely the best

does anybody know how to copy a dvd movie to mp4,and transfer to phone? Is it easy? How much memory is needed? Or is there a web site that has safe ( virus free) downloads of movies,,,,,,,,anybody!

How come the spec says 434 mhz processor, while the article says 369 mhz processor? which one is the correct one?

joysanrio, 22 Aug 2009hi there! i got trouble with my 5800 i have it for abt 3 mo... morehei, i have the same problem as u. my video files just gone like that before i do anything to my phone. i cant found it in anywhere in memory card but the space of the memory card doesn't increase after the files gone. the space left in the memory card still remain same as before the files are gone.in my opinion, it happen because of the memory card corruption. i discover that every time after i transfer big size files to my memory cards, the others files in memory card will corrupt. then, the phone system also start to have error. eg. "the memory is not enough to display ringtone". it cant show the songs in the memmory card when i try to change the ringtone in profile. so, as long as i do anything related to the memory card in the phone, there will be errors occur.the only way is go to nokia care center asking for a replacement of memory card as long as ur memory card still under warranty.

hi guys,winura any one please help me, i hv got a trouble, i made a backup of my messages only, on memory card, after that the phone restarted and then i tried to restore my messages back into phone memory..the information displayed 'dont use any other application during restore process' after few seconds it was displayed ' restoration complete ' phone will restart and i pressed ok..wen the phone restarted i checked my messages, but there were no messages in my inbox.it was displaying 0 messages :-(:-(, where all my messages hav gone, they r magically disappeared,i repeated the restore process 2 and 3 times again,bt after the phone restarts and i check the messages,there are still no messages in my inbox..pleaseeeee help me guys,where my messages are all gone??..i hav followed the correct procedeure to backup and restore data,hv done nothing before,hvnt installed any software,.my phone memory also shows 0 size of messages..and i hv ensured that i hv set the messaging memory to phone memory.bt my messages are not displaying.where they r gone???how can i restore them back into my phone???...please please help me guys...:-(:-(
