I have used this phone for about one and a half months without a screen protector and I didn't get any scratches what so ever on the screen or on the body. mind you I have dropped my phone twice on gravel and on a rough cement floor without its cover. (but less than 4 feet high)
Reason for poor battery life experience is becasue your phone is connected to the net via MFE.

I've had this cell for about 1 week now. Here are some of my experiences: takes 20 seconds to send an SMS with two words "Test two" the Outbox. It then takes a FURTHER 10 seconds to LEAVE the Outbox. This on standard GSM and not 3G network setting. Using a Class 6 Transcend 16Gb MicroSD card. 350 messages in the Inbox or moved to the SD card make NO difference. This is unacceptable, especially since there is no SMS accelerator sis file available for addressing this problem save the 2006 version for the E61 that can't be installed due to a certificate error that changing the date does NOT rectify. Yes, I have updated the cellphone software to Version 3. Problem was consistent from version 2 to 3. If you do not protect the screen, it will scratch. Nokia failed to use a scratch-proof screen ala Apple iPhone style. Double-tapping most menu items to drill down is a slight inconvenience. Battery life delivers 3 days for me with no music playing, perhaps using the camera once or twice and viewing the photograph afterwards. Receive and make about 3 calls per day. Perhaps 4 at a stretch. I must admit I do connect to the internet occasionally with Mail for Exchange so that also contributes to my 3 days worth of battery life. I had to download the Adobe Reader from the Australian site for the E61 as it was not provided on the mini-cd nor on the phone itself. I had to download the Zip Manager in the same way. No Office Reader software. I am still adjusting to this cell and will report back after more use.

I have updated my nokia 5800 new version 30.0.011 & it is really fastened my mobile speed

Good choice ......I have been using this phone for last one month performance is good .camera picture quality is good, But at times some functions becomes slow . The best part is its 8GB memory card being provided with it, click as many pictures and videos you want . A good product from nokia . One might feel bit uncomfortable using its function who has been using buttons on nokia phone but adjustment is quick and easy. I would rate 7 out of 10.

Ashley... trust me... don't buy iPhone... (its extra-expensive for no reason)..
just buy Nokia 5800 ... and goto http://www.dotsis.com (Symbian 5th series) and get tons of softwares/Games/themes etc !! for free !

im called nisreen and about ur problem trust me an iphone is no good i bought 1 last month and i throwed it 2day cause its verrrry slow and its not that good but since i bought nokia express music (5800) i realised that it caused alot of difference compared 2 the iphone 1st its better , 2nd its faster and girl u know nokia is the best phone company in the whole wide world and their phones are not that expensive compared 2 others so dont get confused just put in ur head thatnokia is the best bye xoxo

Recently bought the phone.exceptional piece of work,you get the features of the n85 in a more funky feel.However,it tends to freeze for lentghly periods,dnt know if this is a software problem or just that its the 1st touch screen??

I installed v30 some weeks ago and since then i have got one big problem with the display, everytime i unlock the phone it flickers, so i have to lock and unlock repeatedly before the screen turns back to normal.. sometimes i even have restart the phone for it to work.. and when someone calls i cannot see who it is as the display will flicker again.. if anybody moved to v30 and is having these problems and sorted it out, please let me know, its urgent.

Hey guys,
One of my friends managed to drop my phone from a height of about 7 feet straight on to asphalt while takin a pic on a chair. It took a couple of bounces of his knees, but still fell a good 5 feet straight on.
Anyways, guys there is a gap above the volume rocker where I can see the internal light...Nokia won't fix it...it's not so big, but I can see it and it definitely is felt while typing a message! I'm just worried the thing might fall off totally with use...
Please, help my out here guys...Thanks for any help!!! ARGGG!
