Anil, 14 Aug 2009Hey guys,, can anyone confrim whether cpu clockrate really... moreAh, forgot to add: 5530 does not have Carl Zeiss lens, and has a single LED, instead of dual LED, which means worse photos inside or at night.

Really, the only thing going for the 5530, besides it's price, is the kinetic scrolling, the homepage and perhaps a bit faster response, given it's software has been optimized with the feedback from the 5800.

Of course, all these will be on the 5800 soon with a new firmware (has been confirmed by a Nokia PR manager, and besides, it's the higher end phone of the 2 so it's natural it'd have those as well) and what the 5530 lacks that the 5800 has cannot be given with a software update.

So, while it is a bit more expensive, I think the choice is rather clear. You pay for what you get, and the 5800 is alot of "get" for a reasonable and even small "pay".

    CPU Clock Rate 434[2] MHz

    The [2] means: From device sw version 20.0.012 onwards. Update your device using Nokia Software Updater.

    So, when you update to v20 or latter the CPU clock rate is upped to 434MHz.

          Clock speed of the phone is not the final determinant of the software app performance. If the app firmware is poorly designed then that's the bottleneck.

          You can check out an app called PhoNetInfo and that will help you determine the true speed

                  @Anil yes the processor is really increased to 434MHz, its now same as of N97..

                      Howz the camera....
                      The new 5530 is looking very nice with some features cutdown but cpu is faster,kinetic scrolling,conatct bar with 20 contacts,
                      infact camera is said to be better in 5530...

                      Anyone has any experiences with the both phones??

                        hi everybody, i may need some help..
                        today i had installed garmin on 5800..
                        then i worked just fine..like a normal apps..
                        but later on , couple of hours interval (i do did a micro sd removal in that time) , i didnt found the garmin icon under apps menu>apps folder..!
                        like it never there..BUT when i went to setting>application manager, garmin is still recognised as an installed apps in my 5800..
                        so strange rite..how do i solved this..help me..because its a lifetime-licensed..huhuhu..
