Guys...the kinetic scrolling was supposed to be in v31(which will be out after the release of 5530) and not v30. But guessing from the present situation.....i dont think that it will be introduced even in v31.
We can just hope for it. Till then, i would reccommend every one to buy 5530.

5800, 27 Jul 2009v30 is out here in the Philippines.. no kinetic scroll... moredo you mean all 5800 sold in the philippines are already v30? how will you know? if not, where can i download this version? reason am asking is that i am planning to buy one.price is gong down. last i ask it's only P13,900.00 cash.

renoux, 27 Jul 2009version 30 just got available in south africa... just downl... morei just dont know what the new updates are - i can change the apps on my homescreen to what i want but still not more than 4 apps - no widgets... dont know about kinetic scrolling although i highly doubt it...

firmware V21.. notification light blinks twice even there is no message nor miss calls.. ftw! it's annnoying! fix it!

my wi fi aint workin!!!!! i tried so many times and tried connecting it to different routers but i still get the "no gateway reply" message!!! help plzz i did all tht settins they said on different sites but nothins working!!

i love this phone... have it for 3 months now.. i got 7 movies. 200 songs.. 23 videos.. 31 games.. 8 applications.. 14 themes.. v30 (no kinetic scrolling nor better homsecreen though)
i love the music player especially with album art

v30 is out here in the Philippines..
no kinetic scrolling or improved homescreen..
just a few minor changes..

1. Do not get this phone if you will be using it mostly for taking pictures, because it does not do it that well. >_<
2. If you like a Capacitive screen.
3. If you love iPod-loud earphone listening.
4. If you are expecting this to be PERFECT.
But other than those, this phone is awesome.
Again, choosing the right phone should always depend on your lifestyle. c

The 5800's camera is not really it's strong point. It's been bashed over and over by having a poor image/camera quality. It's not what you will expect from a 3.2MP Carl Zeiss Optics lens, especially at low light.
Anywho, Nokia, neither denied nor confirmed that they will be improving camera quality in v30... but don't expect it to be a whole lot better than what it is now.

The V30 is just announced by Nokia. They are currently working on it, as the "source" said, Nokia is neither denying nor confirming the kinetic scrolling, the camera upgrades, widgets and the new homescreen.
All those persons saying that the V30 is already out just want to grab attention, misinformed or just a plain liar. ^_^
V30, again, is not OUT. Nokia is still working on it.

is that firmware is available in the market or not, and what are the new features of that and what is the difference between normal nokia 5800 and nokia 5800 blck edition
