Is this phone highly recommended by you guys? I've been starring at this phone for a longg time.. and the price of it has knocked down about $200 now. I'm contemplating getting this one or N97 or something else >_>. The only thing putting me off from this phone is the lack of a physical keyboard.. but the N97 is SO expensive right now =/.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2009d release/upd8 depends on ur location...I know the availability depends on the location but, official articles and official announcements over the internet about the firmware doesn't get filtered depending on the location.

one update is available though nokia maps 2.0 is upgraded to nokia 3.0 and has more polished UI.

my brother use to work on nokia care, and he confirms that firmware v31 as seen on ovi suite 2.0 video is just for demo only. nokia will not spoil the releases of their new phones like n97 by making 5800 look like one.

Calm down,everybody.31.0.015 is NOT available yet as cannot be seen on Navifirm at the moment.Somebody`s getting a good laugh at the moment posting these "update news".

Hmm...from the looks of it..it seems like the phone seems a lil boring...too much like another typical touch screen phone. Its presentation just seems a bit low. Prolly an awesome phone, just its just missing that something to seperate it from every other touch screen phone we see on the market. Nothing revolutionary about it. Just a typical phone.

Can someone who has upgraded their firmware to version 3, post where they have confirmed that they have officially released the new firmware? I've been looking for hours but still couldn't find a single reliable source which says there is a new firmware update with the features some people have mentioned here.

have had my phone at nokia care in australia for last 3 days, ive already had firmware upgrade to 21v..my phone is ready for pickup.i rang them and they said its been upgraded to latest ?????if its the new 30v i just hope it fixes the problems...ill post my opinion in 5 hours or so.....fingers crossed
