I have had the phone 3 months, all of a sudden I can't save any of the still images into gallery or access those previously saved despite loads of memory available. Anybody know what the problem is? Video works just fine

Good things---
1. Good Music Phone (Speaker is loud)
2. Cheaper price (compared to the function it has)
3. Big Screen.
4. Enough Memory for maximum user (8 GB provided)
5. Software is speedy (S60 5th)
6. Battery is OK or Good
Problems---
a. Build quality is average (some will say very bad-- mainly screen's flickiring prob & Volume prob)
b. Camera is average (Bad at low light)
C. No physical Numeric Key (not a big prob)
d. Proximity Sensor is not as good as u may think.
I am using it from 25-12-2008. I updated it's software to V 21.0.025 n I install lots of software in it.
Quick office - Adobe PDF reader - Zip Manager
Phone Torch - Smart Movie Player - Google Map
Nimbazz - Facebook - Accu Weather - Paint Pad
Lots of Games
MY opinion about Nokia 5800XM is --
It's a very much average quality Phone with good sound n big screen n touch UI.

hi winura, may i just ask a few question. Since you bought the nokia 5800, do you face any problem with it? Do you face any problems like all the other user have? hows the sound quality? Pls answer my question. I really love this phone but i m afraid to buy it because of all the negative comment i heard.. I trust you so pls tell me. pls... thankss.. :-)

i'm also planning to buy 5800. but have read many negative posts regarding firmware screen issues that i'm confused.
can you guys help.....

But if nokia keeps their promise with the firmware update this phone will be ahead of the iphone. the other phones you have mentioned are targeted at different market segments. The N97 is bound to be a lot more expensive than this phone.
I will vouch for this phone. It is very good. you will not regret for buying this. but lets hope you won't get one with any defects what-so-ever...

it is my birthday on the 11th of July, and i;m getting this phone, but i was just wondering if it was really good, because my mum had it 4 abt a week, then got rid of it, and i ddnt get much experience. also, i can't believe that it beats, the i-phone, htc hero, nokia N97, and many more of the top phones!!!!!!!!!! i

Install any signed application without "CERTIFICATE EXPIRED" error
WARNING: IF YOU DONT TAKE BACKUP OF YOUR DATA OR FOLLOW THE EXACT STEPS HERE YOU WILL LOSS ALL DATA:
NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY INSTALL SIGNED APPLICATION WITH THIS METHOD.
1) Make your phone memory backup data using nokia pc suit 7.1(very important)
2) After that remove your Micro sd card form mobile..
3) Remove your SIM card also(very important)
4) press *#7370# and unlock code to format your phone memory(yap.. this is safe default is 12345)
5) Now nokia 5800 xm will reboot.....wait for a minute....
6) Then select your country region as "Hong Kong"
7) Cool Set the current time....(set your phone to offline mode)
8) Now you can put that Micro sd card ...
9) And don't insert that SIM card right now...just wait....and try to install any supported singed application (E.G-nokia handwriting calculator)
11) And Volla...u may install any signed application ... After that just install your Sim Card...

5800 has a new brother and i'm sure there will be sibling rivalry with 5530. I like 5800 and i'm planning to buy one. But i'm reconsidering 'cause i don't use 3g, don't need front camera, don't use or need GPS, not at all interested in video photography, and saving money is always a good thing. SO DO YOU THINK I'LL BE BETTER OFF WITH 5530 THAN 5800? I think the answer is YES.
I'll still buy 5800.......

I am using this awesome gadget since a month ... believe me it rocks. One major problem is its horrible VGA camera, yes VGA camera , its 3.2 MP camera is not better that a VGA camera of my oldest 6600. So if u are interested in camera don't go for it but if you like muzik, big kool touch screen, movie maniac and handy phone then its really good.
