hey guyz...........i m really lukin 4ward 2 buy nokia 5800 xpress music....bt i m really confusd........some opinions say such gud stuff...other say it sux....i m really confusd...plz cn sum1 tell me the gud stuffs n da bad stuffs of dis phone....n also i heard it has wifi n gps n dat dey r free...is it tru n if i buy it wat r da things i shuld do to keep it gud n uptodate.

Ghost, 21 May 2009A very expensive phone yet its totaly crap and worse th... moreAre you sure it is useless, or maybe you might be... ok enough of the sarcasm. I have had this phone since pre launch. Granted a lot of bugs in the first firmware. Now at v21 it is running smoothly. And for the price, you get everything on the planet. I have 3 different programs for gps and programs for everything else also. I even can run palm software on the phone using styletap. So please refrain from condemning a phone just because you do not know how to use it.

it is really cool device and cheap, too.i'm going to buy to buy this one and hoping it will not regreting me like W910i.is this phone fun??

A very expensive phone
yet its totaly crap
and worse the software is still ever so glitchy
what a waste!!!
some stuff don work such as proximity sensor
the buttons are glitchy
NOT ENOUGH MEMORY AS USUALL IN EVERY PHONE
the folders issue...cannot make a folder in a folder
the 2nd worst phone i bought next to the 6500 slide
useless!!!

No contest really. If I were you I'd go for the X1. Not the same class phones anyway. X1 is of better quality
I admit I am getting the 5800 only coz my mind is set on it. I don't really know why.

if you unlock the mobile... some times, it takes time to get the display...its really annonying.

I saw that thread on this GSMarena that Nokia is releasing a 'Capacitive' touchscreen version of the 5800 is this true?
I need to dig that thread again and post its link, its not one with the app for it, it actually said Nokia is making a new whole version of 5800 with capacitive

TZ, 20 May 2009Hi Guys, I need your advice since many of you have this ... moredude go for x1 any time, dnt go for 5800 its a nice phone , but m facing loads of problem,i had bought 5800 in the month of january frm mobile store on the same day dere was a problem with earpiece so they had given me replacement for the defective piece, in the month of april display colour was changing automaticaaly , i went to the service center they fixed the problem , again after 10 days dere was the problem with the touch screen , again company replaced the handset & gave me new handset , nw its may,frm last nite dere is a problem with the display of my 5800 , so dnt go for 5800

I believe there are constantly more and more firmwares releasing, which makes it more and more stable over time. v21 (CURRENT ONE) is quite stable, but they should give us more free softwares in newer firmwares..looking forward to that.
You should buy it, considering its the first touch screen by nokia, the world's leading mobile industry.
If u got more cash, u could go for the samsung omnia HD. Nokia 5800 is its little brother.
Samsung and nokia are still good companies. They are always aiming to be the top.

The phone is really good..And it's better than I-phone.For I-phone u must pay for using internet this phone has wi-fi really cool GPS and i recharge my phone on 5 days.And is really cheapest phone for all his performance..
