Bastet, 25 Dec 2020I am very pleased with the Nokia 5.3 so far. I upgraded to ... moreI agree man the longer you keep your phone the less of a burden for environment. No charger in the box as an environmental excuse is lame and stupid.

Why is there no review of this phone? Or Nokia 8.3? One after another Redmi or Realme or Samsung or Huawei is being reviewed but not a Nokia. Underrated phone, I am using the 5.3 since launch so far so good especially Nokia updates are good and reliable. Previous phone was a Xiaomi nice phone cheap but ads and lack of updates.

AhmedSLL, 29 Nov 2020None, you have to pay more if you want an acceptable camera.Oppo A5 2020 in the same range has better camera, dual loud clear speakers at both end, faster switching between apps.

I am very pleased with the Nokia 5.3 so far. I upgraded to this phone from my Nokia Lumia 930. I upgrade only when the phone needs to be replaced. I have used my Lumia for 6 years so I am doing long enough with a phone which is a lesser burden for the environment. I also have opted for the Fairphone but eventually choose for the Nokia because of the good quality. I think I will use this phone the next 6 years again. However Android is getting slower more quickly than the smooth and beat OS on phones, Windows Mobile. For now, I am very happy with the phone. Thank you for reading and praise the Lord.

I was really disappointed with Nokia phones. I have the Nokia 5.3, but a lot of heat involved, whether your playing a video from the internal memory or receiving a call. My ear is really hurting now after I received a call from Nokia. This mobile is another exact model of the Chinese mobile phones but under different names. Not satisfied at all.

More than decent phone for the money. Battery Life seems good, processor keeps up with me, no annoying lags or bugs noticed. I'm not a camera user so can't comment on the photos it takes.
Colours on screen are a bit cool and 'washed out' - this is no OLED - reasonably bright though and ok in daylight use.
Sound through speaker is unimpressive, but fine through decent headphones (forget the included earbuds).
I like the lack of bloatware that often gets piled into cheaper phones. Nokia made the right choice going with Android One here, but don't count on getting updates to the OS before other brands - a pity as this would make the phone even more compelling.
Build quality seems decent too - doesn't feel like a cheap phone.

After a few days of use I'm already quite pleased with my Nokia 5.3.
One of my main needs is a phone that can get a decent network signal in a weak signal area, and it does that very well.
Otherwise it's a good looking well finished phone with fairly quick fingerprint unlocking and a decent large screen. I like that I was able to switch to 3 button navigation from the default 'gesture' setting, and the lack of proprietary bloatware.
The speaker is loud and clear enough to be heard in most situations, but not suitable for music listening. I've not tried the camera(s) yet, but I'm not expecting much given the opinions in many reviews.
Out of the box, and after initial setup, mine downloaded ~50Gb of updates so be ready for that.
As for the battery, 40hrs after charging, and 2 1/2 hrs screen time mine is at 60% advising that I have 2 days before a charge is needed. (Yes I'm a light user).
