What i noticed on that device is that is not friendly with older SD's but that's the only thing i have seen might be causing some iritation with not that tech- savy people.

Does anyone know that gcam can be installed on Nokia 5.3?

So... it's basically a not-quite-as-nice Mi A3 at pretty much exactly the same price. I'm sure this is a nice, solid phone, but for another $10 or so, the Mi A3 offers the same CPU/GPU, the same Android One experience, and virtually identical batteries, but offers a much nicer AMOLED screen with the same resolution, noticeably better cameras, and better options for storage and RAM (if you're willing to spend more money). The Mi A3 still seems the better deal overall.

well, i had 7.2 before... i was really not happy with it. it was so laggy to the point where i was really hating the phone. i sold it then some one said 5.3 is better than 7.2. guess what, it was so smooth and lag free !! i was not sure how i am going to like HD comparing to FHD screen. the screen is good enough and this is a phone not TV screen, so it will not bother you at all.

it is better than 7.2 in all aspect and i have no idea how this one is cheaper then 7.2

if you suffer from 6.2, 7.2 then trade it to 5.3 ... you will not regret it and you r going to love nokia again

                      Redmi is not worth buying.

                      Nokia always meet the quality.

I am not sure what Nokia is thinking, the 5 series is suppose to be solid midrange devices but with these specs it can't compete with other midrange devices in the following areas. It does not support Bluetooth 5 and it lacks a Full HD screen. Even with all of these compromises it still cost $200. In comparison for $180 you can get a Redmi Note 5 with all those features. Better yet for $230 you can get a Samsung Galaxy A31 with all of these features and a Super Amoled display. I would argue that the Nokia 5.3 is at least $50 overpriced in comparison with what other brands offer. Also I would have positioned this phone as the Nokia 4.3, not a 5.3.

I mean it is not like you see they actually own and tested any of this... while Chinese comparison, is lame as lame it self. In Europe people actually receive money for their work, while the manufacturing might be in India and China, HMD head-Quarters, developers and so on, are in Europe. And they are not paid with 100 euros. The discussion could continue till hardware, batches used by Chinese companies and batches used by Nokia... well, there are a lot of things hidden under those smaller prices, something apparently, this "site" of yours who are "better", does not care to share, because well... they sellout-

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2020The review from phonearena shows this is a very good phone ... moreAny phone will looks good enough if you don't compare it with other phones but if you compare it with Chinese/Korean phones you'll see Nokia phones has many cons.

Other phones with higher resolution, bigger size and more advanced image sensor will produce better result especially in challenging situations than the small image sensor in Nokia 5.3.

If you do some reasearch about Nokia phones you'll realize that most of their Android phones uses lower grade components than the competitions for example Nokia 5.3 still using gorilla glass 3, slow eMMC, small image sensor usually from Samsung (they are not even using top of the line image sensor), low resolution screen with poor calibration and slow response time.

This review is better than PhoneArena or most other sites because it shows you many important things from a smartphone that you don't see from other sites like network speed, gps, screen quality and temperature of the phone under load.

Great device for the price, great camera, 2 days battery life, and super design. It still feals like a NOKIA even though is plastic, it feals like aluminium.

The review from phonearena shows this is a very good phone for its price. The resolution is 720 though but you wouldn't even notice it. The main camera is only 13mp, but the pictures are great, bearing in mind that larger megapixel does not necessarily mean good camera
