Why not Nashua Mobile or AutoPage? I enquired with Nashua Mobile & they said that when you use GPS you will be charged at GPRS rates (R2/megabyte). Now can anyone translate that for me in real terms?

Glad to hear Nokia are supporting the product.

Now if we could have some software updates to end the crashing...

i have recently heard from nokia sales that the 6110 is set to come out in more colours, blue, silver, etc. so if black and white is a little boring for you, than wait a month or so.

Does anyone know if there is any truth in the story that the N6110 Navigator has been recalled by MTN due to factory faults???

did anybody try the upgrade of maps ?
does it cancel the voice activation and turn by turn making you buy this feature ?

to change the settings from imperial to metric, load the GPS and go to settings, then select general, then select units and change it to metric. maps can be downloaded from nokia.com/maps. hope this helps!

No. This phone is not meant for the US market. Also, be aware that R66 does not offer FULL US coverage for the software. Check out the available maps.

For full US coverage smart2go.com seems to be the better option, though IMO the their software is not as good as R66.

Hi everybody, is there a company selling the phone for the US, meaning with the US maps free and outside world purchaseable, because I need to travel in all states with it and I do not want to buy card for every state.
                              Thanks! :)

This is proving to be an excellent fone for anyone who travels extensively(in my case in the UK)and wants something small and compact.Additional maps are easily downloaded from the Route 66 CD provided with the fone, of course additional cost are incurred for this additional facility. The Fone may also require an additional Memory card (I suggest 1GB) if you required additional Maps, POI, Speed Cameras etc. The fone is supberb in every other respect ie Calls, usability, MP3,Camera, etc. There is however a downside. The fone very quickly runs out of battery if you use the GPS for a long period, say a couple of hours whilst recieving the occassional call, my advice is never leave home without a car charger, you will definately need it!! I have all the XDA's and this fone compares very well with them for capability for business use.The 6110 has the advantage of being smaller and more compact than the eqivilent XDA Orbit which also has inbuilt GPS and Sat Nav.Nokia 6110 Reccommended
