Hey come on guys, I saw lots of negative comments on the GPS features of this phone here... sure, tomtom ist better - but on the other hand tomtom is bigger and cannot handle phone calls, take pictures nor send messages. If I'd need the thing to navigate every day, I'd also get me a dedicated device.
But it's a nice accessory which can come in quite handy sometimes. Compare it to the first cameras in mobile phones - you just cannot expect a perfect device on the first attempt.

For my part I can tell you: 6110 GPS is a funny toy to use - just like using mobile phone cameras (nobody would replace his pro camera with a mobile) - finally, you get some nice features at a fair price (I paid about 100$ with 10$/month contract here in CH).

To conclude: I'm happy with it... especially since I was pained to use a Sony Ericcson (S700) the last 2 years which has lots a software flaws and poor performance (only space for 60 sms although having > 100 MB of memory and the like).

You have to understand how the Navigator accepts your search input. From my experience, it only recognises abbr, e.g. rd for road, st for street...etc

Im In Victoria, Ausralia I have just purchased the 6110 yesterday from Crazy Johns. In the morning i was going through the menu to see my images in the gallery, I noticed that each time when i scrolled down there would be flickering from image to image. Another word would be a Glitch. Also when scrolling into Presentation the same thing would happen. I went back to the store to get it replaced and the new one kept doing the same thing. At one point i thought maybe i just got unlucky with the batch but it seems they are all like that.
Im just not sure what to do at this point... i have 30 days for nokia to swap it over but i would like to know if other people have found the same problem.

Hey, is anyone able to go to www.66.com to download more maps? The website does not show each time I go to it. If anyone has Canada and US maps, is it possible to send it?

I bought the phone yesterday in Switzerland. It's a really good device. The software is intuitive to use (as usual with Nokia), the Cam is ok, GPS is nice and especially the price/value ratio is very good.
Sure you may get better stuff out there, but for me it's just the right phone or the right price (and I tend to be a really picky customer when it comes to IT and digital devices).

im not sure if i just happened to get a 6110 that has problems or weather im just a real unhappy customer with this phone. amongst other problems, i have now noticed that when on the phone, during a call i find it not to be very clear, the person sounds like there echoing n also makes an annoying noise. kinda wishing i didnt get this phone now. maybe i should asked for it to be swapped for a new one.

tell me clearly on the battery performance of 6110nav
I dont bother abt camera. what abt music, speaker, headset and sound quality.

just wondering how long it takes other people with this phone for their navigator to locate which position you are at and load the map? mine seems to take a while, you wouldnt want to be in a rush to get the street name ur on. maybe there is just something wrong with my one?

                                  To Ktulu,
I just viewed e-buy-global.com,those phone are very cheap and make me suspicious. I suspecting maybe those are dummy phone or those are refurbish phones?

                                  Thanks for your advice!^_^

                                    Attention:
                                    Don't buy from e-buy-global.com !
It's strange that they got mobile phones 70% cheaper, e.g. 8600 Luna - $150. It's that odd, that it doesn't even cover production expenses...
So, my advice: don't even write to them. They aren't really from Italy! Their host is somewhere in Israel! It might aswell be some kid playing around behind his PC, and getting his money off our backs.
When I asked for their company's registration number, business rate, or something like that, the director replied to me they haven't got it for anybody. 'Cause that's something that has to be made public, so anyone may verify it.
                                    Thanks! Bye!

I've got one of these as my personal phone, and have had it for two days, as of writing this message. The GPS has worked brilliantly, and worked out a re-route when I deliberately went the wrong way.

Camera is good, even for 2 mp. I am not a music user, so have'nt tried that yet, but phone feels solid. GPS locks on from start up in about 1 minute. I will only need one map, so can't make a comment on that, but I am very impressed.

We will probably stock them as a sim free, and hopefully it will be available soon through our online shop. Best phone I've owned so far!
