I think this cell phone is very cute. After ordering this phone i got this site and read all these bad comments. I hope that this is not true because i would be really mad at myself for getting this phone so expensive and it would be crap. By the way wat is meant by shared memory?
Please, someone who has one like this one tell me more bout this phone

I also forgot to say, I've dropped my fone many times so it's badly scratched :( and the flash on the phone doesn't work anymore. Otherwise it's good.

I've had this phone since late December and haven't had anything wrong with it except for one thing. Sometimes when I'm writing text messages or playing a game it'll freeze and eventually screen goes white & goes off. It can be annoying but it seems to have settled down at the moment which is ok for now. I read on here don't use this phone for longer than 6 months. Well I've had it nearly 7 and seems to work good usually :) The other annoying thing is you can't change the sim card? I bought it with a tesco mobile so that might be why but otherwise it'sgood :)

To arrow: for louder ringtones on the right mobile side there are - button & + button, if u want more louder ringtones u press the + button

i just love this phone because of its small size and slider design. using since last 6 months. no problem as of now. loud sound on ring tones and speakerphone. havent tried bluetooth though. camera/ video camera is good enough. I read about software problem with earlier one, i have V03.77, language v03.77 May-23-2006. Working fine so far. Smaller size,slider Nokia,good sound is what I like most..

Well, I've had this phone for a while now (almost a year).
First impressions-the memory sucked, BIG TIME! after a while tho, I got used to it (what else could I do!?!) It worked fine for my purpose, making and receiving calls and messages and taking the occasional photo. I found the flash quite cool, but not at lighting up people-it gave them a funny blue tinge. I used it a lot like a torch come to think of it.
Ive had over 2000 SMS' in my inbox, but it really slowed down the switching on of the phone. At one time, I had over 3000 in my "Saved messages" folder and almost 1000 more in my inbox.
Sound quality aint that bad, but it seems to have deteriorated over time. Not much space t put stuff to listen to tho. A friend had a 6111 that continuously gave her issues-especially with the loudspeaker, so she sold it at a give away price.
Recently, the problem that haunts this model, decided to plague me with issues! The screen blanks white when you slide it open or closed. This problem is caused by the mechanism used for this cool sliding motion. There are two springs that over time, because of the friction they exert on the ribbon cable for the LCD/top half, damage that ribbon cable. It can be sorted out easy enough if one has the resources.
Once I fix mine, I want to swap it for a 6233 with a young cash adjustment on top, or maybe sell this phone and buy a 6233. Failing that, I'll get a 6230i!
To be honest this phone has been more frustrating than others I have owned and could've been designed better. It looks really smart and sleek, but functionality and design flaws bring it down.
If you buy this phone, dont keep it for longer than six months.

yes,i do have a problem with this phne.i have it for about 10 mnths and yep,it goes blank out of the blue or it switches off from self.memory is really bad.i love the design &features of it but what's ging on inside the body.have a bad experience with nokia.never had so much problems with other phnes.

Ive had this phone for 6 months and its been a waste of time! ive had problems with the screen freezing and switching off i can only store 3 songs when i expected to store a lot more And i am also unable to use my phone at the moment as my charger will not work its a waste of money.

Oh, yes
In addition to the problem with the charger the sim card port was also faulty meaning that the cover over the sim card would not shut properly.

The Nokia 6111 is nice looking phone but has a terrible design flaw that should have prevented it from making it to market. The charger for mine broke within 4 months and the charge port is socket is non-standard with other Nokia phones so I can't use the damn thing without buying a new charger. I am very disappointed. Other people have experienced the same problem with the charger, in fact, when I was in the shop buting the phone, the original charger in the box was faulty. Very bad Nokia. I am very unhappy.

i gived my mama Nokia 6111 as i geft
it look so cuit & nice .
easy to use also but when she take photo it's not clear like other Nokia .
now i don't know shall i change it or !!!
becouse now it's with my mama !!!

Well, to be honest it's a great start for the phone, I purchased one today, and as soon as I got it home the sim card holder was faulty, and is it normal for the sim card to be inside the phone before purchase?
Going to get another tonight, hopefully this one is better... but from the reviews I've read so far, I hope this isn't a big mistake.
