I was thinking about getting this phone. But I really want to know how good is the speaker volume? I have the Panasonic VS7 and the volume sucks. So I got the Samsung D820 and it's alright.

let me just say iam a manager at 02 and i have been for the last 6years i deal with upgrades and i can tell u i have the 6111 but get ready folks because the samsung e900 is out take a look u will love it i have upgrade 421 people todays

I regret taking this handset,you have to charge the battery every 2nd day and the memory is very short.I wish I knew earlier.I trusted nokia but hey the 6111 is a disgrace.

Been using this phone for over 2 months now, not a single problem with it (touch wood). OK, so the battery lasts 3 days max (i use the camera/radio/music player daily), and it doesn't have expandable memory, but otherwise it's been a joy to use. It has so many features in such a small size, and with Bluetooth/J2ME I have all sorts of apps and games on it. Plus, you can use Winamp's AAC Encoder make music tracks, and fit about 10 music tracks on it and have room to spare for apps/pics/etc.
BTW the one I have was made in Germany, came with a UK plug, and was bought in the Gulf. Go figure. Not sure if that's why it works :)

hey! WARNING! bought this fone in jan, and withing 10 days it started goen white and display going all distorted, this is due to FAULTY RIBBON CABLE! nokia needs to rethink using such fragile cables because one way or another the spring will cut the cable and there goes ur display! WARNING, DO NOT BUY FONE IF U DO NOT LIKE WAITING FOR NOKIA CARE TO FIX IT! after i gave it to the care centre they issued me a brand new nokia 6111 (so they claim), its been 4 months now and the phone has jst done the same thing. i was planning on throwing it against the wall but im going to take it in and see what they can do!
DO NOT BUY THIS FONE.. NOKIA 6280 WAYYY BETTER!

everythng perfect xcept that it doesnt have ant xtendable memory...god dammed nokia ppl...every fone has some flaw or the other...either too pricy..or no extended memory..and all are damn slow

to LARRY. u asked about changing your number to private, just go inot menu > settings > call > send my caller ID. and then select NO.

This fone is a very nice fone, its stylish and cute! it has not got any "wow" features on it, like the N series, so its ur choice, a good lookin fone with all the basics u need. or an brick fone with lots of cool features. i used to hav a nokia 6680 and i prefer this fone alot better. i can fit 3 mp3's on plus i hav downloaded about 4 themes and got lots of pictures. if i put 4 mp3s on then the memory in my messages cant hold alot. but reli that y we hav ipods. u onli reli need 1 mp3 for ur ringing tone! i cant stop looking at it, its bwetiful. i even created my won theme on http://www.astod.com/themeOnDemand/index.php
i had to pay 5 dollars online payment to download the theme and it looks reli nice. on that site u can make your own icons, backrounds and everything! plz feel free to email me if u hav any questions about this fone - i may b able to help. but if u are considering getting it then u shod! and ppl hav been complaining about the screen blackin out, well mine hasnt and im sure if u are able to look after ur fone then it wont happen. nokia is a very reliable fone. i evened asked my cell fone shop b4 i bought it, if they hav had any ppl takin it into service and they said no, there hav been no problems!!

How do I activate 'number withold' for dialing out on my 6111? I'm in the process of switching my number and don't want anyone to get my temp. PAYG number. Cheers.

hi ive had this phone for 4 months no problem wat so eva the onli thing is the memory is crap ive never had anyn mp3s can any 1 tell me if you can have me.if any 1 wanted tobye this phone 1.do you want a basic and easy t use phone 2.do you want a stylish phone

well, respect all your opinions. As for me, i'm just plain unlucky. This phone is still at the service centre as of my last opinion.I don't think i've mishandled or rough with it in anyway. All my phones are well taken care of. Nokia really need to relook into their software. Features, functions, are all there, but they don't perform well. Just sold off N6280 to buy N6111. But same old problem. Lucky the one who bought these phones and no problems with it!

I have broke my old phone and i am looking for a new one. As soon as i saw the 6111 i wanted it! I am going to save money for my new phone and this is definately it! I cant wait!

ive had my phone for like 3 months now, i have no problems with it. Although it does mark easily!!!
It is a good phone with good features.
By a camera if u want photos, buy an mp3 player if you want music.
I have realised that those of you complaining about your phones may not have got theirs from australia, everyone who i know has got theres from australia, i know it wouldn't make that much of a difference but i dunno???

I had this phone for 2 months, and there is no problem. There are somethings to consider before you buy it.
1. It's a basic phone with camera. It's good for me. Because, some company won't allow you to carry a smart phone to work place (data theft).
2. The battery is not good. You need to recharge every 2 or 3 days (on standby).
3. The receiving voice is a little distorted. But the other side can hear you very clear.
3. I download the mp3 and aac tingtone to it. But it does not work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?
