accorrding to o2 uk they had an email saying that nokia were no longer gonna make the 6111 as there was so many problems with it
back to da drawing board nokia!!

hey i really like this fone but im hearing lots of bad stuff bout it! i really wanna no how many msgs they can hold cos my samsung x640 annoys me cos it only holds 230 nd im always deleting msgs nd i dropped it nd tha back clip snapped off it cant be that bad can it cos that switches itself off 2!! thnx xoxo

Can someone help me!! I've had the phone a week. Had no problems sending SMS until tonight. I entered the mobile number. The the messgae.It then come up with some wierd question which I ignored. I pressed send. It started sending then stopped and went to oubox. I now cant send any messages. When I go to send it shows the sending icon and a small opened lick icon comes up then disappears and then sending icon freezes. I've tried everything and still cant send a message. Help!

dont think about buying this phone, i have had mine 3 months and its rubbish, it has cut out several times when i have been in the middle of important calls including yesterday when it cut out 5 times in a 30 minute phone call. when this problem first started i rang the people who i got the phone from (e2save) and they said they would fix the problem by reseting the phone. the problem has persisted and now i refuse to use it and am currently asking for a new phone. prior to buying this phone i read the reviews on here and i didnt listen to the bad ones as i thought the phone looked nice. now i wish i had of listened!!!

This phone has some very weird habits... My girlfriend bought this phone in Thailand to have the thai alfphabet on it. When comming back to Europe, she changed the time in the time and date settings. Unfortunately when I send her a text message and she looks up the message details, it is still in the time zone of Thailand, being 6 hours before.
Besides that we also agree on the uptime, which is around a day.

this phone..once u drop it its gone! and it shuts down by itself a lot of times..but the way it looks is really cute! but i wouldnt buy it again

Oh I forgot something:
If you are watching videos and you want it to look on full screen mode... its just for a good laugh. It never usees the full screen, only a little part of it, its not bigger than the normal mode. I didn't find a mode how to change that. Maybe you know something how to change?

Hey guys!
First: I am from Switzerland and my english isa bit bad.
I bought my 6111 last tuesday. I Love and I hate that phone at the same time!!!! It looks so good, BUT I hate it to hold it in my hands, the upper piece is going from the left to the right if I push it. It wobbles the hole time if its closed. The cam is horrible, you can't look the pix. The sound of that phone is also horrible. It hurts in the ear. On the display you can see every pixel with a black frame. The software is just a joke from the ingenieers. My phone turns off every time, when I push the menu button. So i have to try it twice or more, befor I can use any function. I would say to everybody: Don't buy it, if you only want the phone because it looks nice. Its not worth it. To much problems and to less memory.

I bought the phone on 5th March'06. From the day 1, the stand time was only 5-6 hours. The so called Nokia Care Centre kept the battery for replacement. Its more than 3 weeks. The battery hasn't been replaced. Several visits to the service centre and phone calls to the helpline have yielded no results.

I'm thinking of buying one on Ebay as there seem to be hundreds. Are they a great seller or are people just trying to get rid of them?They're going for anything from £150 to about £225. Also does the warranty transfer to the buyer?

Forgot to add that the reason why it died was because the 'cable'(it looks like a film thing?) was cut when I was sliding it out which according to this board is a design flaw (The guy at the repair shop also didnt look surprised and said he's got lots of Nokia 6111 spareparts because of all the problems)

I left a comment here before about my Nokia 6111 which died after 4 weeks of use. My warranty isn't valid in Europe so I've to pay 89 euro to repair the stupid thing! Now if this was a fake phone I bought off the black market or something, I wouldn't be so mad but this is Nokia!

Well, Chaz.... *sigh* I really like the phone... basically I LOVE the looks. So far, I don't have any problem with the slider, the screen is fine, no sudden switch-offs, it's just the battery. I'm a high end user, I'm constantly on the phone coz I have my own business and talk time is REALLY important to me. But it's so sad that my old Nokia 3100's battery can last longer than my new NOkia 6111!! And that hp is 2 years old! I don't understand how Nokia can come up with a phone that has so many problems, sad to say I only read the reviews AFTER I bought the phone. I always had a high regard for Nokia until I purchased the 6111. If you really really like the design and can stomach the low battery life, then go ahead and purchase it, otherwise.. better not. But i can understand if you want to get this phone, coz I have no heart to part with it too... it just LOOKS so cool..

To Kim, you can certainally customise your wall papers!!!! just go into your display settings or just choose the image and set it to back ground. If you cant you must have a software prob....

hey kim! Thanks 4 replying. Is the battery life the only problem with your phone? Or does it switch itself on and off, and have a white screen, like every1 else is complaining of? So basically, you wouldn't advise me to purchase this phone?
