i bought the 6111 3 days ago and i've already had to charge the battery 3 times. is anyone else's battery dieing on them so fast? all my other previous phones have been nokias and the battery lasts for over a week before it runs out.

wel after hearing from the nokia person i do hope all dese faults r fixed b4 i get it bcos i really lyk this fone. i just wait till 2006 in jan. hope it goes wel den n dat the white 1 is out

I give up..the white screen problem's totally getting on my nerves. I intend to switch to another phone soon. Hope Nokia can produce some firmware to rectify the this problem. Sigh.!!! :(

I don't believe about the problems with the phone. Here in Thailand it is everywhere and selling fast. If the phone had problems they would stop selling it, don't they ?

OK Everyone, Im From Nokia UK And We Are Postponing Nokia 6111 Pay As You Go Until Week One Of 2006 We Are Sorry Of The Delay But We Have Had Faults With The Phone. The Slide Ribbon Had Been Replaced And We Are Sending Out Stock With Stronger And Stable Ribbons, We Are Also Correcting The Phone Because Of Regular Complaints. We Apologize For This Matter And We Hope To See Nokia 6111 Become As Successful As The Majority Of All Our Phones.

I think that some of the bad vibes about the 6111 is true. In Denmark the phone was planned to 15th december - but now Nokia cant tell Danish suppliers when they are able to sell the phone. I think Nokia has stopped delivery and want to fix the problems before they get more complains.

I am thinking about buying this phone and after reading all the reviews on here im not so sure.I currently have a Motorola V3 RAZR and i hate it. I really need some advice. Thanks.

Which Software version you all got? V3.41?
I think in february 2006 Nokia will release an update... To solve the probs.

This phone is fabulous but it does not work! I am on my thrid phone since 10th december and all have had the same problem after about two weeks use. The screen goes white, seems to be connected to the sliding mechanism as this makes a grating noise then the screen goes white and no functions are accessable. Terrible disappointment, this is the first nokia in ages that Ive liked I hope they sort out the problems, i waited for this phone for over 6 months.

I bought this phone and loved it's design but it will not work, i am now on phone number 2 from the supplier and it still has the same fault, the screen just turns off at will and will not come back on for ages

I am now waiting for my third Nokia 6111 to be delivered. The first 2 have encountered the problem of conecting to the internet or to VM. No one at O2 could sort the problem out and had I not found this site, I would still be no wiser. I do have a photo as a screen saver, as I have with previous Nokia phones. I am now conerned about the ribbon and white screen - are no tests done on these phones before they are sent out?!

My friend picked me up a 6111 in HK two weeks ago. I transferred ALL my numbers to the hard memory. After 1 week of using the phone - and no accidents - the screen went white and ALL my numbers are INACCESSIBLE! (and the phone is useless). Does anyone know how I can retrieve my numbers? THANK YOU.

Even here in The Netherlands it's still not available. On the Dutch Nokia website the status Coming Soon has been removed. But maybe due to Software Bugs, Nokia recalled the 1st shipment.....

Bought one in hong kong 2-3 weeks ago. Screen went white. I live in Australia, and the 6111 hasn't come to shelves yet (i think). I'm hoping this is covered by Nokia Care or whatever the hell they have. Damnit who uses such a weak ribbon for something that has to move all the time?

I tried to buy a 6111 in Lisbon yesterday and the store (Phonehouse) wouldn't sell it to me. They told me Nokia was recalling this model in Portugal due to software problems!!

The nokia 6111 is really cute.. but now only hv black colour in malaysia.. i m waiting for the pink one.. just a bit dissapointed for the memory function..
