Oh yeah its a girly phone! Just look at nokia's video. But who cares. It has everything I need in a phone and I like the way it looks. If you were thinking about this phone and dont really care about expadable storage I would highly reccommend it.
The only other phone I would would be the Samsung D600 or the Nokia 8801. I hear the D600 reception kinda stinks and the GUI isnt as intuitive as nokia. And Nokias 8801 is plagued with glitchy software.

I got this phone 2 days ago. I live in chicago and use Cingular.
I was a little nervous about getting a 900/1800/1900 phone. (cingular uses 850 and 1900 here in the US) However I get better reception than I got with my siemens S56 and way better than the Samsung D500.
Quality-
Unfortunately the phone is kinda light and plasticy. Its the lightest nokia I ever owned. The keypad is kinda loose and has a flimsy feel to it but it is very useable and nothing like those crappy siemens keypads. But the slider feels nice. Sliding the phone open and close gets a little addictive. I am a little worried about how it will hold up . But its day three and I havent noticed any problems yet. Best of all the quality of the calls are great! People I have called can immediatly tell that I got a new phone. The phone came with an awesome wired stereo headset that sounds great for making calls.
Software-
The phone hasnt rebooted at all. Which is more than I can say for my old 6230. That piece of crap would often rebooted durring Bluetooth operations and simple menu access. I have not had any of these problems with the 6111. Overall the phone software feels extremely solid. I have been uploading animated wallpapers/screensavers and mp3s without a hitch. I just recently paired my bluespoon AX bluetooth headset and the phone works perfectly. However, I do get the blasted constant voice mail icon, even when I dont have any voicemails. I have no clue on how to fix this. Arghy! Syncing with a computer is a mystery to me. I have a PC and a mac and I have been unsuccessful in finding software to load my contacts onto it. Apple isync doesnt support it. Neither does PhoneDirector (which is what I used to sync a 6230 and 6230i with the mac. NokiaUSA and UK do not any software for the 6111 either.

i've been using it for the past few days and i am amazed by the simplicity. it has all i need. compared to the previous nokia 3230 which has so many problems, even though this is not a symbian phone, it serves all my needs. a neat camera, with 3 sequential shots and a flash light. the mp3 ringtone and radio sound fantastic. it even has a simple yogo instruction video. it's more a ladies' phone as the keypad is small. very good for me...i love this phone.

I have the same problem on T-mobile. T-mobile said it was having delays with its text messages, but I didn't understand how that had to do with my prob. Sounds like it's a phone prob. and not a service prob. Otherwise the phone is pretty cool. I am having trouble dialing numbers if my speed dial is activiated -- it automatically dials the programmed no. of the first number I push (and I don't hold the key down). The above are annoyances, but do not seem to affect the performance of the phone.

i just got this phone. However, i currently have a problem. I'm on the Cingular network and when someone sends me a voicemail i check it then i automatically receive a text message right after that. Furthmore, the voicemail icon never goes away. Has anyone experienced this and know how to fix it?
