hey this phone doesnt look so good on screen, however I went into a shop and saw it, and its well nice. Small and compact- very neat design. And I'm a guy and it appeals!

aw wow im so happy i could cry im really pleased 2 hear that this phone is £190 as many other companys are charing over that price i hope 2 have this phone in my hands by friday

omg! i saw it at the o2 shop (uk) it was on display but wont be allowed to sell untill tomorrow so i can confirm that the o2 shop are selling nokia 6111 on o2 tomorrow (monday 5th december) they has the silver one on display, it really small! i fiddled around with it and the camera is really good, thats all i was worrying about, unfortunatly there is no card slot but i will go to o2 tomorrow and buy this phone, they told me they are selling it in black, silver and pink! finally! well done nokia!

This is phone is not a Lady-phone! Except if a guy buys it in pink, you can think about it...
But in black or silver it's just a phone for everyone!
It will be a hugh hit because of the small size...
Has anyone seen the full silver color of the 6111?

John, I just read your experience and I am sorry for your experience; however I think your experience is more likely to be with one handset rather than general design. I think it is wrong to generalise a fault. Nokia invented the slider design many years ago before any other company. Accidentally I have a Nokia 7650 slider which I have been using for a few years now; it is still in fantastic working order. Also the most elegant phone in the market which is Nokia 8800 is a slider phone with no design fault. In your report you have written that all Nokia sliders are faulty! That is obviously not true.

This phone is the most stylish phone for a girl. The features are also the most impresive for it's size. You can connect to other compatible phones or computers via cable, bluetooth, or infrared. Overall a pack of fantastic features in a small design.

I just got the phone today as an early Christmas present from my dad! And let me tell you.this phone ROCKS!! I am lovin it! It has everything,cept for a memory stick!! i love the size of it,really really cute.But i wouldn't recommend this to guys because this phone is small! but I sure recommend this for the ladiees!! :]

well, saw this review from the web, regarding his experience of the newly brought 6111. if it's really due to the production or the design of the set, hopefully nokia can seriously improve it.
apart if this, this phone is realy small and cute :)

No problem Chris. I just want others to know about this so they don't lose all this money for nothing.
I've never had a problem with Nokia before. They were always very well made, but Nokia made a mistake with this phone.

Don't buy this phone!
This phone has a defect where the springs that help it slide will ruin the flex cable which connects to the screen. Two weeks after I bought it the screen turned white.

It launched in Thailand since December 2
Very cute mobile for girl. But for caller pic
, it show under caller name then size is not full screen(around 60% of screen). And if u set caller pic, that contact will be moved from sim card to phone instead.

yay the 6111 has fianlly come to the uk i saw it at the carphone warehouse it is so samll and cute! they have it in black and in pink!!

The slide-mechanism is fine, and the phone is well built. The only problem is the phone is very small and if you have big hands it may be a problem.
The call quality/volume is very good, and I have the volume set a half way which is loud enough.
The clarity is quite good considering they have put the phone antenna at the base of the phone, where you hold when taking a call.

How is the slide-mechanism? Is it strong and doesn't it get loose if you often slide it open/close?
