I just bought this phone last two days and its the best nokia phone I have ever used so far. UI is fast, screen is very sharp. With regards to the heating problem of the speaker, to avoid experiencing it, although I am not sure if it is true, I bought a bluetooth headset sony ericsson HBH DS-970, and its working great. Call sound is very clear and playback of MP3s is very loud and in stereo quality. I love this phone, I'll probably be using this phone for a while.

i just bought this phone
it's speed is very fast,i used many kind of phone bcoz i have phone changing habbit
but this phone is fast
with 1 problem the heating speaker
exactly after 200 seconds of talking u will feel that it's the time to end the call
tell me any solution 4 this problem

One question for the people who said the phone is heating up very fast?
Does it happen when on 3g mode or in normal mode as well?

Not read many opinions to convince me to upgrade from my nokia 6280 to this 6120.so now i have a very big problem.Do i keep my 6280 (even tho its held together with tape!) cuz i love that fone to death or get the nokia 6288 which is no different to 6280? Any other suggestions for a fab fone to own on 3 NETWORK???

Listen mate, this phone is defective in the most basic sense. It heats up almost intolerably after a few minutes calls. Not warm heat but hot heat. That in my mind is a defect.
If you still maintain it is not defective, perhaps you would like to buy mine off me.....

Yep.
The 6120 Classic heats up real bad. You talk on the phone using the 6120 Classic for about 5 minutes and it heats up like you've been talking for 1 hour or more!

HI, for the 1 who's asking the question. I surfaced the problem not because I can't use tis phone at all but it simply not as normal as other phone I used before. I not try all other phones so I not sure there is other also have the same issue. Tis is 1st time I experienced phone act like this. So I checked with nokia center. Funny was they said yes and they realised tis issue but they say they can't help because there is nothing they can repair! If you don't consider tis as defective, then it is OK. We are here to post opinions so other make a wise choice. Nokia will never tell you tis phone make extra heat than other model because what u pay is what u get and tis phone still make call, isn't it?

it heats up, that's why it's defective! my old 6230i NEVER used to get hot, it didn't matter whether i spoke 5 or 55 minutes on it! nokia just have to rebuild this unit, and while doing this, to integrate a better and more powerful battery, too, and then i'm ready to give not 250 but 350 euro for this product!!!

symbian s60 os 3.1 smathphone with hsdpa, and everything else, except wi-fi...for 250 euro...there had to be sme kind of a catch - and thats it - defective model

Sony1, ure right, but just imagine what would happen, if nokia admits that this fone is defective - they will have to call of thousands of phones and to give all the money back to the discontented owners of the fone...that is a considerable loss for them...so they would prefer to leave this fone on the market , till they stop producing it, lets say, in 3 months
its unfair for the customers, but thats it...nokia doesnt want to admit their failure

Hi, I check with nokia center. They said they know tis problem from feedback but they can't solve tis problem even I send the phone back. Tis is common in tis model and they said it will not affect my health. Asked me to use headset if I not comfortable to the heat. I think they never test the phone or it tested by some1 has an elephant skin. My advise is don't buy tis model unless you prefer headset or less talkative. It is hard for me to imagine some1 will put tis phone near their ear more than 10min and still comfortable on it. tis is defective phone and they actually know about tis. Can you imagine how they deal with customer feedbacks?

bought the phone last week, its great. got a question though. how do you turn off the shutter sound of the camera? didnt find it in the manual. I tried to shut off all the tones and tried to put the profile in a silent mode, but still there is this shutter sound when i take pictures. Also, what is the initial charging of this phone? pls email me for answers, thanks a lot.

here in Philippines its worth is P13,000. and i find it very cheap. im gonna buy it till xmas as a gift to my self
