umm, i was thinking of buying this fone, but i kinda wonder if you can replace the old batery with a better long lasting one? and should i buy this fone rather than the z610?

I've already listened that this phone isn't so good. Its battery life is horrible. Is it true?
Please, someone could explain to me about it?

Can the OS be upgraded to a smart phone OS? Can the 6131 play videos besides ones recorded by the camera? i love you.

hey. i've been using this phone for 20 days, and the screen just went black! I forgot to save the numbers on my sim card. i have like 200 numbers and only 6 were saved on the sim card. I"m very pissed off. any way to fix the phone with out losing the contact. i even have contacts for my new jobs that I haven't even started yet.
and I can't even recieve calls.
can any one help please?????????

I don't like the Contacts database. You can't look up contacts by Company name, or first name; only by surname. It's a step backwards from my old Nokia 6600.

Yes, in the nokia 6131 you can use any micro sd cards up to 2Gb

i was very pleased with the 6131 for about 2 months. then the screen just went black and nothing i did helped to switch the phone on again. I send it in for repairs, that took about 3 months. then i had the phone for another 2 months, and just a week ago, it did the same. it just went black and i've send it in for repairs again. anyone else having the same problem???

Have had this phone for 5 months and I love it BUT it has been back to Nokia once because almost every time you open the phone the keyboard backlighting activates but the screen stays black,, if you then close and reopen the screen works as you would expect. Repair center could not make it fault and returned it to me via my dealer. The second time I openned it, , , , you guessed it, black screen. I have no other faults but this and it is extremely annoying does anyone have a clue???? please help.

To NKG -- Yeah..u can pay 2000 rupees...considering the condition of ur phone , thats not at all costly..go and get it done and njoy with ur 6131..!

To nitin -- u cannot activate gps on ur 6131....and yes , u can play 3d games on ur 6131....

To nidhlp -- have u tried using ur memory card in any other handset ? Insert ur card in any other handset , and check whether that handset recognises ur card....have u tried this out ?

To nidhlp -- do one thing..along with the memory card , u ll also get an adapter...insert ur memory card into that..then insert that into a card reader..then connect that to ur usb port...and then format ur memory card..try this out....

To Sanju: I can't reformat the memory card until the 6131 recognizes it....and it still won't - I've re-inserted the mc into the phone but the icon still won't appear onscreen. I also reset the phone to its original default settings but it still can't "see" the mc. Any ideas, please?
