there is 1 alarm on this fon, u can customize the repetition days, snooze time and the alarm is on even the fon is switched off
the volume of alarm gradually increased til a very loud volume

This phone will be coming out in my area in a few days. I have read the reviews and most all are in favor of this phone, but the one thing I haven't heard about was the phone's alarm. How is this phone's alarm volume. I rely on my phone's alarm daily while I take my nap. I need an alarm that will wake me. Samsungs have a great alarm. has anyone tried the alarm on this phone and is it loud?

I bought my wife a 6131 about 2 weeks ago and it was perfect.
Just last night though she complained about a certain "lag" for the main display to appear when flipping the phone open.
I tried it and there was at least a 3 sec lag/delay, and I have no idea how to fix it.
Any suggestions? Anyone else experience this?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

yup it will giv u d latest firmware available on ur country (after nokia detected ur location to giv u d proper and updated firmware version for ur phone)! u can follow d link i posted and juz follow d instructions and u'll hav a new firmware approximately in 30-45 mins only!

juz follow d instructions therein and u got urself a new and more stable software! i juz wish my 3250 can do it also, Over-the-air firmware update, sigh.. =)
no need to go to nearest nokia care center for updating..

I just bought the fone this afternoon. However, it gets annoying everytime I compose an SMS and the sendee area where you type in contact's name had to be in numerical order, not alphalist as I was hoping for.

how come on this site it says the battery is Li-Ion 820 mAh (BL-4C) but most shops sells BL-4C batteries 720-760 mAh...where can i get the 820mAh for the 6131

Just got this phone today and man, what can i say about this phone but AWESOME. Display resolution is probably one of the best i've seen so far with 16million colours. Even for a 1.3mp camera it's still better then a lot of other 1.3mp camera's i've seen. mp3 playback is really good and radio gets very good reception. Rubbery feel is exellent. Highly recommended phone.

functionally it wil b a great upgrade frm 8800, however the degsign / class wise, its a downgrade

I charge my phone for about thirty minutes in the afternoon/evening so I can use the phone heavily throughout the day. It seems most users do this except for those business folks who require a longer standby time since they are AWAY from any outlets for car chargers. This phone will be mass produced in the U.S. ( see 6126 ) but im confident this phone will do well. I like how the keypad lights up hyperwhite.

I bought 6131 2 days ago and I must say I'm very satisfied about it. It has brilliant displays, nice design, plenty of multimedia capabilities BUT lacks a better battery and a better quality speaker. But, hey, every mobile phone has its disadvantages ;) Nokia 6131 is a decent phone and I highly recommend it...
