The problem is the battery, hope they can do something about it. Also, the camera, if only they can put a 2mp like the 6233, then this model would be perfect for mass users since the price is reasonable.

I have had the nokia 6131 for a week now and i must say its an awesome phone,as for the display just buy yourself a screen protector but i see no problem with it all.I would recommend this model to everyone its just so cool.

i sent an opion earlier and went off at optus well id like to apologize for any misconception that ive caused after having my little b.f i got over it and activated my nokia 6131 the day after and its been a terific phone. i recommend this phone to anyone. optus is actually a good servive.

crappy mobile-review
as u refer to da previous 600+ posts b4 the mobile review's review abt the display, has any1 saw any complaints abt da so called easily damaged display?
if u like this fon juz get it, the display is definitely not a problem!

I had a sony erricison last year - and i didn't like it at all after having had a nokia all of the times before. The Nokia 6131 for me is so bad.... the battery runs out very quickly, the phone often just turns itself off - texts have problems being sent - i generally have problems with this phone twice a day - i would not recommend it to anyone.

Whats the 'major issue' with the screen then? Just because it doesnt have protective glass? I've had the phone for 6 weeks now mate, and it's not an issue at all. The phone doesnt need any glass as it's a clamshell. The display is one of the best features not the worst ;o)

Have had similar problems to 'titch'... Only bought the phone about a week ago. Camera 'took' pictures but I could't view them - got a 'file in unsupported format' message. Video did work but now the camera has gone into standby mode by itself, so can't get a picture through the viewfinder. Back to the T-Mobile shop tomorrow, I think!

I just got this phone yesterday and it was COOL !!!
First of all the display is really clear ... with its 16 million colour 240 X 360 pixl display , it is exactly the same clarity of Panasonic VS Series ... I have around 2MB of wallpaper in my phone right now and I'm going to change it every week ;p
The mp3 player is quite basic .. it does allow you to set the equalizer but the downside is that you can only skip songs forward .. i mean u can go from track 2 to track 3 but not vise versa. It also supports Stereo Widening. The earpierce which comes together with the package also provides excellent sound quality.
The volume is incredibly LOUD and CLEAR ... really rock me off my chair when i opened it to maximum volume. I think it is as loud as my friend's Sony Ericsson W550i ... which means that Nokia is finally catching up .. lolz ...The vibration alert is also very strong and noticable and there's no chance that i'll miss a call or message.
Flight mode is also available in the phone .. as oppose to what the Customer Service ppl in Nokia.com tells me.
One-touch push-to-open button is definately cool .. it opens up the phone is style .. hahaa ... the machanism is quite strong and solid, although the upper lid appears to be a bit loose when i closed the phone.. it's tight again when it is opened.
Overrall .. this is the phone that has great value for its money and once you get one, you won't consider a phone change for at least a few years .. lolz
