There is something intrinsically wrong with the supplied HS-23 headset.
The volume adjusts itself upwards and cannot be re-adjusted and the phone keypad freezes after a few minutes of usage with the headset attached. This happened to two separate HS-23 headsets used on my phone. It also happened on my friend's 6131. The problem does not occur when a HS-3 headset is used instead. Anyone has the same problem?

Baught this phone after reading the review here and am quite satisified with this amazing phone. The s/w is very fast and there are lot of minute features hidden. Apart from low battery n avarage camera, there is no problem at all!!. BTw, did anyone notice that the camera is angled a bit in the opposite direction of flap??Great thinking by Nokia.

Hey there! I just sold off my 6230i (but still keeping my 6230 as backup). I'd probably buy a 6131 by next week...

Looking fwd to exchange notes, tips and tricks with other 6131 owners out there =D

          TO TIMP

maybe your friend got a symbian nokia... those phones have included cable and cd (i guess... i mean all of my friends who have or had a 60 series nokia got a cable and a cd)

as for the 6131... i didn't get a cable or a cd (the last one can be solved by downloading the soft from the nokia site)

to the owners of this phone:

i've tried to transfer some pictures from my phone to 2 motorola (v535 and v3) via bluetooth and it didn't work. i tried to receive some files from them but no results...

          anyone had this problem before?

Just got my 6131. Two things. I got no connection cable and no CD! A friend who recently got another Nokia model got both these things with his phone - what about you other 6131 owners? Did you get a connection cable and/or CD with your phone? It does not say what is supposed to be included with the phone.

well, 6131 is quite a good phone, besides its features, the covering is what i find useful, because it doesn't get scratched that fast.. the only problem i have with it is that the internal memory is quite little, but thankfully, you can put a memory card in it!

Now I don't know what to do ... I really like this phone, but because of the bad battery ... Do Nokia have any plans to "release" 6131i maybe? :) Or any other flip mobiles? Or to improve the battery? :D

No, you can´t use a better battery - it will not fit properly on the phone. The BL-5C is too thick so you can´t put the backcover on, if you use this battery.

Really? You can use better battery? But don't you "hurt" it if you cut it? And it looks normally? (I'm sorry that my english is not better, but you probably understand what I want to say:))

one of the best phones i ever had,and i'ave being using mobile phones for many years now

to bad it restarts itself from time to time, but that is and will always be the problem with the first badges in a nokia phone.....

you guys do not complain about a model all the time and have fun with it....

                              nokia rocks....

after having the this phone for 5weeks now,

i've got a list of a few problems and quality issue.

Ok firstly the top fold when shut is a little lose moves side to side.

the silver plate around the keypad is getting scrached for some reason dont know why. there is tiny little 1mm thick scraches, not sure where they've come from. shame it's not real metal.

Camer is fine for fun pictures But must be in good light.

it;s kinda hard moving from a 6670, less business features, but over all i'd still take the 6131 anyday, the display is always enjoyable.

when i dial out the ringing is fuzzy, (cant take the phone back purchased in HK on holiday)

and lastly the Battery life, seems some people are getting 3 to 4 days use and others are getting 2 or even 1.

i think it's how you've first charged your battery, i did 12 hours over night. then ran it flat and charged it and uncharged it 3 times,, the battery life is starting to get better now that i've used it alot. i'm still only getting 2days at the most, i'm using the camera say 5times a day, sending 20 txt and talking for 10mins.

how ever part of the cause is when ever you open the phone,(seems nokia cant resist the tempetation for free marketing) the small display lights up in full colour and has the nokia logo on, Hense using a whole lot of battery. it dosent go away till you close the phone, but the light dose turn off.

would be good if you could program the mini display to only show the time and alrets and turn on if some one was calling you. would save a alot of battery.

think the reason for the poor camera quality is the size of the lense, my 6670 with a bigger lense but smaller meagpixils took better photos,

still i love this Phone, just wish the Build quality was a littler better and nokia could produce a more higer power battery that would last longer.

can you use a BL-5C battery,

yes you can. how ever, it's a tight fit and you have to cut one edge down a little, also it's thicker than the BL-4C so you cant really put the back cover on, but if you dont mind having a cover for the back of the phone, then yeah you'll be able to use the BL-5C
