heeeey thnx,u know what,if i put a .gif file on the phone , it doesnt animate if i put it as a screensaver.But if i put it is a wallpaper it does animate....help me..is it me or the phone

correction: i apologize, i spoke too soon. i got me a usb dongle today (because transfers via infra red take too long)and yes, i was able to transfer files to and from pc and phone WITHOUT using Nokia PC suite, just the dongle. transfers are now much much faster.

does anyone know how to change the opening/closing tone. The opening tone changes with different themes but wanted to add a few of my own?

Hey guys and girls, just got a little question. I know the CA-53 Cable is required for this 6131 phone, but was just wondering if anyone knew if the DKU-2 cable might still work with it? (becuase I read somewhere that they are something like 90% similar)

its a gud set but the battery life can be better. Though it looks cute, there is stil room for improvement. Overall its gud

No, phone can't even fit a Bl-5C battery. Buy another Bl-4C and you might want to consider getting a desktop charger to charge your battery as i conditions and the standby time will be better and more constant.

the default phone memory password is 12345.
then after that, go to security settings and go set your own password :)
anyway.. i luv this phone.. alright!!

The pack does not really come with extra memory card and a USB cable just the earphones.
Yes, you will need the Nokia PC Suite to transfer files from / to your pc and phone. It asks you which connection you'd be using -bluetooth, infrared or cable.

Hi i just bougt this phone today, but the only thing that is included is a Charger and some earphones, i did not even get memory nor a data cable to transfer files.And do u really need the Pc Suite software to send files if u send files via bluetooth(usb)or to the memory card.

Hi folks. Reading some of the comments on here, i thought i would post my own review. I have had this handset for only 3 weeks now but i feel its long enough. First off this phone is fantastic. I have no issues with it what so ever. Battery life is fine for me. I truly believe if you prepare the battery properly at the start and are not a really heavy user like me, it will suit you fine. I mainly text with the odd call, and some bluetooth here and there and i have no problems getting 3 days out of it. I really like the main screen, so crisp and clear. Texting is a breeze and overall the series 40 v3 UI is really nice although i would have liked to see some better themes. Memory is a bit small, but since i installed a 512 meg micro sd card, it's not a problem at all. The sound is loud and clear. I have no issues hearing during calls and thats with the volume on 4/5. Loudspeaker quality is great too! The only minor gripe is the message tone goes off when ever i send a message or get a balance report. How do i turn that off folks>?
Overall this 6131 is highly recommended by me ;o)

the only problem with this phone is the camera and the battery life. firstly the battery life is too short and the camer is ok during the bright day, but, during poor lighting conditions the camera picture quality is very poor.

Just got the phone last night. So far so good, except for the simple fact the the voice commands and dialing are very disappointing. Anyone have any suggestions to personalize these?

When I sum all the memory in the "memory status" in the gallery, it's less than 11M (around 8M). Anyone knows why?
