Hello All....
Hooray for this forum!!!
I am considering buying either the 6170 or 6260 and I need help!!
6170....can this phone stand being dropped??
for the newer owners:
is the hinge sturdier now?
is the exterior display improved....before it used to blink in & out or fade white or completly fade out
is the memory i this phone bigger now and if not is there anything I could do?
how long can it take videos?
I currently have the 3650 that I am very happy with but now I want a flip/clamshell phone

i think. this phone is pretty much the same as the Nokia 7270..? rite? so.. wht abt the price..? i mean with no contract.. just the equipment... i dont know what to buy.. pls help!!! in Singapore$ .. if possible..

To azza: Nokia actually had 5 flip phones, you can see it on their website.
Think 1 more coming and yaks it has antenna.

ahhhhhhhhhh crap!!! i got da cable a while ago and it didnt work. reason being dat its a dku-5... aheaheha. stupid woman said yes it will work. im like k. brought it and nooooooooo it doesnt work. hmmmmmm lets try it on my new comp when it gets here. so leson here is DO NOT BUY A DKU-5 CABLE!!!
to that dude: ya "groove" = hindge. hehe. well i duno i mean i guess when we all brought it, it waz reli tight. mayb its like that, that it gets loose so u kan flip it easier or it just be tight all the time. or mayb its just gettin loose. aheaheha

Sorry I meant, Nokia Setting Support doesnt have US in the country list, and Tmobile Setting Support doesnt have Nokia 6170 in the list.

So..
I've had my phone fixed because of the mini display problem (I think you ALL know which problem I'm talking about..)and they replaced the display, fine.
Two days later it went broken again!! I'm gonna take my phone back to the shop and see if they can solve the problem.. If this doesn't work I'm gonna change model and tell everyone the nokia 6170 SUCKS big time!!!

I'm with Tmobile and I'm having trouble setting up the MMS and other web features. I've been to Nokia Settings Support at http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,6771,32863,00.html and Tmobile Setting Center at https://secure.mouse2mobile.com/clients/tmobileUS/ota_support/ . Both didnt have supports for 6170. It's because 6170 was released for Middle East, Africa and Europe. So they dont have supports for it to work fully in North America. How did you guys solve this? I mean I paid full for this thing and I'd like to get the whole package that I paid for.. feel kind of cheated if I couldnt use the web features.

i said dis b4. but oh well. if u look u kan c dat lil grove where the lil bottom connects rite??? u know where a little - at da bottom and da top with the groove? well deres a little bit of space when the fone is closed. so when it is "loose" it is only that little part moving back and forth from the groove.
only when you move the fone harder and i mean push it!!! it moves out of the gap and thats wut seems 2 b the looseness.
just look at it closly when u close the fone and u will get wut i mean. loooooooooooooooookkkkkkkk ahehhaeah.

the phone doesn't close as tight as it was new anymore can anyone help ?? how do i fix this ive only had this for a week! and last night i noticed it was kinda loose!! what's the best thing to do? help

2 little too late from nokia flip phones ave been about for years and nokia has been at the forefront of mobile technology and only has i think 3 flip phones to be fair its rubbish not enough memory for the technology it is competing with straight on the market to disapear in a disastorous blow for nokia

This phone has to little memory! i need more than 2.2mb. Cmon nokia!! A new design for a phone and you give 2.2 memory. At least put a mmc card slot! The phone is really nice if it wasn't for the memory....:(

the phone is okay cool and all..
but i have a problem..
the phone starts to get loose when you open it it doesn't close as tight as it was new..
can anyone tell me what to do?> help..?

i was think this phone is ok for me, but now,when read the opinion from peopele about this mobil, i'm not sure if is the best..., but is little and wonderfull. i will buy it!

IR or Cable equally good, I have tried both.
By the way, copy those high Pix picture out of the phone. Only your note book can see the resolution. Use the nokia suite tool to edit it to the right size which is good enough for the poor LCD to support which is of smaller pics size. Save space.

aheaheha. i actrally went down 2 ummmmm sumthin like 10k left. exactally 10.0 i waz like jezz. but ya. i haf a few pictures that r on high quality so that takes up space.
1 thing i noticed so far. sumtimes when someone calls you and the persons name is in ur phonebook and u have caller id it shows up with a 1 infront. so then i wont know who it is. same thing with redial!!! it shows up with a 1 sometimes.
questions for all the ppl with the pc transfer. which is better? the ir adapter or da dku-2 cable
