Yes Mike, unfortunately it seems that Nokia misleads customers by presenting a stanby time of around 12 days. I do not know in what conditions that might be true. mine is lasting about 3 days with not much activity. photos take a lot of energy though...

Phone is great its just that the standby time does not last that long. I am using a standard battery that came with it.it only lasts 2 days on standby and with textng. 1 day for listening mp3s and radio. is this normal or not?

My brother has this phone, its filled with amazing features and the imaging quality on this phone is great, only problem is that its only "Made in Hungary", "Made by Nokia" and not in Finland or Germany for example.. I'm sure it makes a difference

hi i have recently got a nokia 6230 ex contract but now unlocked to any network, i am on O2 but everytime i turn the phone on it comes up with the orange, could u please tell me whether i am able to remove or change this. I think this phone is excellent the sound is very good and the camera is high quality and has a video camera of 4 mins instead of the normal 10 sec on my old 6600. But if you can help with my problem plz do cos its getting on my nerves lol

Brilliant allrounder. Had an 8890 before and have been consistently pleased with Nokia products (quality!). The 6230 does what it says on the box - more features than I'll ever exploit. And as for price, another winner esp. when compared to other makers phones that often do not have the same level of capability. Well done Nokia.

does anyone knows, what is the latest firmware version and is it possible to change the firmware via internet, like sony-ericsson does???
i want to change my firmware because i found a bug. when the BT is on, i cannot add a voice mark to contacts in phone's memory. the phone just stops working. i cannot do anything. i just have to turn off the phone.
