thanks for your answer, so my poor sd card that is in my pocket pc will be no use ... concerning the design i think it is not so bad , i find that its keypad looks like the one of the untouchable vertu :)

The phone has everything you want-video, mms, camera, radio, simple chinese dictionary, bluetooth, infrared, MP3, GPRS, Java Games, so many things in a small little phone.
But I still find the design of this phone not so nice like the old nokia models, perhaps Nokia have run out of design on phones. Simply an old 7250i look nicer but the phone disappointing.

Joe, it definitely cannot work with the SD card though it look the same. Worst case, you may damaged the pin inside or the phone pcb. I think 128MB is quite safe to say the phone can use, well 256Mb may but so far I have not tried. Actually, no need to use 256MB as 128Mb is already very big storage.
The software is quite fast and stable compared to other nokia phones. Unfortunately, no phone is perfect and you will find some shortcomings when you use the phone for a while. (MMS cannot send out photos that saved from another phone) and some other minor problems.

do you think it can work with my 256mb SD card as the mmc and sd cards have the same sizes ... and an other question : is the software fast enough ?

This phone is absolutely fabulous.
it has mp3 player,FM radio,Edge,Bluetooth,65k colors, it is a dream!
but unfortunetly it is very expensive!

Beleave guys. DONT BELEAVE who says and thinks that 6230 phone has a gugs or mistakes which causing many problemes and make this phone a peace of shit. Its not true. Its realy peace of jowel. I'm using it since 3 monthes and no one problem happened to me.

"caller group bug" can easily be rectified by simply going to menu-> settings-> restore factory settings
do not worry you will not loose your contacts, nor your txt, only the settings you have done in profile, and other related to the the phone, not data
the keys are big and great, obviously those guys who claim otherwise have not used the phone, the d-pad or joystick is also great, you just need to get used to it, 2 to 3 days i would say, OS is super fast, the fastest so far among nokia, amazing battery- 10 hours of mp3 playback, with calls and still the full-charge has 2 bars left, with bluetooth on, and even IR, playing songs and transfering mp3 files and txt at the same time- sort of multi-tasking... all i can say, try it 1st, there is no other small, non-smartphone like it at the moment..

I just ordered it! The 6230 rules!! Finall some good work from Nokia! The 6610i is lame.. so i sold my 6610 and waiting impatiently for the 6230 :)

overall a very good fone bluetooth and video are good espiecally for a fone of this small size overall what a great fone!!

I'm completely disagree with you. But thnx for sharing your opinion anyway. Buy sony ericsson or smthg else but this phone does not deserve such negative thoughts. ( IMO )

be careful guys,dont be over whelmed with all these features,one thing for sure this is a really nice fone when you read the manual otherwise you will find your self stuck in line in nokia dealers for new software every saturday.nokia always bargin on new software,in my opinion this phone needs a new rebuilding of1}the super unreadable 65000 screen. 2}the abscense of caller groups although it ia present in the phone menu 3}the awful key pad where you cannot read the letters in precission due to the great FAIL in the distribution of the illuminating lights 4}the bad 5 way control key in the capability of recognising that you are pointing up and not to the right 5}in my opinion a very moderate design{i prefer alcatel 715 more}{at least you can say its nice silver,chrome matt well finished design,and its weigh is 87 gm too.
MY MODERATE CONCLUSION for this fone is not quit satisfied of anything at all.
BAD LUCK nokia.

You may find that they may be writing their MB numbers wrong on the packaging (Eg 1000 KB instead of 1024 KB)

yes ur ryt,,,,it's normal!...u may reformat ur MMC but it still isn't going to become a perfect 32MB ...(e.g. my 128MB MMC is only 122MB in actual use......

Hi. I just bought a nokia 6230 its an amazing phone with everything I needed. But there is one problem, the MMC I got with the fone is 32mb, but in the phone's memory when I check, it shows 30.3mb. Is that alright? Thanks
