If you are using an extended memory type SIM Card, the phone will take around 1.5 min to read the SIM card.
Also, if you plug-in the headset and switch on this phone when using this type of card, it cannot find the SIM Card.

hello i just want to say KLAAS get the hell out of this opinion page! you dont even have this phone and i do, and i believe that this phone is exellent. The performance is great the look is great what more could you ask for. this is better than the 6600!!! I hope nokia make new mobile's like this one and keep on tweaking and making improvements!!If you are going to buy a mobile phone with a good quality camera then this is the one for you!

Of course there will always be Nokia fanboys!!!Stupid retards!Nokia is the best and here is why: user friendly, small, lots of features and one of the most inmortant things-Nokia makes only communication devices!Not washers and dryers besides cellphones!(like Samsung)

I have a nokia 6600 and i have some problems with it. I made a call i could not end it , i had to take out the batery. And some other things. So should i buy the 6230 , and will i have the same problems with it ?

I'm thinking of buying this phone... Does anyone here have the phone and encounter any problem or bugs with the software?
I own a Nokia 6610 and sometimes the phone go off by itself. When i on the radio, the top buttons on the phone will not respond after a while.

I have a question about JAVA game in 6230
My friends, they are using 7250 and 6610. they have already loaded lots of games in their phones. Can I played those games in 6230?

Don't mind spelling mistakes. We all make them sometimes. Unfortunately some ppl make them in every other word.
The phone is very nice. Too bad it doesn't recognise iTunes AAC format (m4a) but you have to use Nokia program for that.

Da phone is good, that's why there are fanboys, plain logic. What is not so logical are those who don't have the phone, criticize it with no facts but BS, or/and those who are hear to advertise for phones from some other companies. This is a board for ppl to know about this particular phone!! SO what's your problem with all those fansboy when they have this phone?

you need the handsfree to listen the radio or not, and when you put the radio as a alarm has to be the handsfree connected?? (excuse my bad english)

TO THOSE WHO WANT TO BUY NOKIA 6230:
-Good picture resolution (128x128 is fine w/ max of 640x480 great for PC)
-Good interface/ user friendly
-Smaller and compact with full of features
-MP3 ringtones (the sound is acceptable)
-4 mins. video recording /depends on MMC
-FM radio and can be use as alert.
-3.4MB internal user memory with 32mb MMC
-Good java games and can be downloaded.
-Phone design is simple SERIES 40 but elegant looking especially the pearl white color.
-xHTML can view internet page and instant messaging like aol/yahoo(network dependent)
-bluetooth/edge/infra-red/gprs/wap2.0 you got all the tech you need!.
MY IMPRESSION: BUY NOKIA 6230 its all in your one hand!!!!!!
note: i'm a SE phone user but the simplicity and user friendly of Nokia outstand among all current phones.

Well...since you are the "master" of criticism, i bet you don't have a problem with that...i mean criticism from other ppl, or do you?
I am not sure if 6230 is everything or not, but i am sure that you are nothing at all. I don't know how much do you get from SE every month, and I understand that it's your job to keep dumping trash here, but plz at least make it a little bit understandable...seriously most of the time your English doesn't make sense, not to mention that yourself doesn't make any sense living on this planet at all.
I mean it, give us something better! Make up something, tell us that using Nokia phone will lead to brain cancer while using SE won't, or even better penis cancer, as brain cancer is never your concern, u don't have one! you think via your dick!

By the way, I have used 3 SE before, 1 T68i and 2 T200, they all broke down in about 6months time. Cheers!

Pixels is small on the display screen but if you download the photos taken at 640X480, then the size is as good as 6600.
In my opinion, I have used countless handphones due to passionate and soft with phones. I should said the best is still the 6600 and 6230 so far till now.
Sonyericsson may be good but to trace the date and time on calls after the next day is problematic.

I willing to stop, but as you say that the 6230 still is better then the K700 then i come I back believe me.
